Christian Eriksen was having to drop quite deep in the early stages to get hold of the ball, but he's been at the heart of much of the Spurs pressure in the last 10 minutes. There was a long period when he was pulling the strings with all 11 Bournemouth players within 30 yards of Asmir Begovic's goal.

But the indications from the Spurs bench are that Kane isn't able to return...

No goal in 15 games for Alli and another chance gone begging. But is this is a bit harsh?

Over the last five minutes Bournemouth have hardly touched the ball. It's been all Spurs. They can't encourage Spurs to come at them. Otherwise they'll concede because Spurs have got so much quality in the side.

Good play by Danny Rose, who skims a low cross into the middle, it runs on and Jan Vertonghen has a chance but he can only fire well over the top under heavy pressure from Simon Francis. Signs that the visitors are finally clicking into gear.

Spurs yet to have a shot on target. As a reader pointed out they are just two points ahead of fifth-placed Chelsea as it stands.

Danny Rose was one of four Spurs players booked before half-time in the corresponding fixture here last season, which finished goalless, and he's the first into Mike Dean's notebook this afternoon.

Jan Vertonghen isn't a happy bunny either, continuing to bend Dean's ear even after the visitors are awarded a free-kick in midfield. Next on the Belgian's list of people to complain to are the nearside assistant referee Mark Scholes, and a ball boy. His next touch of the ball earns a chorus of boos.

It's great to see Bournemouth on the front foot, in every position. Cook and Ake are trying to get their foot in first against Kane, but it's starting from the front. They're saying 'if you're better than us then try to play round us'.

The Spurs fans are singing Dele Alli's name, but they need their number 20 to find his form fast. He's 15 games without a goal.

Amrul Choudhury: Spurs need to be really careful here. Lose and suddenly they go into the Chelsea game potentially dropping into 5th place and they also have Man City to face at Wembley

The free-kick is duffed into the wall, though the home fans want a penalty for handball against Mousa Dembele. Nothing given.
