Lex: I guess Pochettino too wants in on the comeback. I wonder what's going through Pep's mind at the moment. Come on Spurs!!!

David: Spurs look like they want this win. Anybody’s game.

Agubata: City players are already losing their heads. Two yellow cards already. Surely the ghost of the derby comeback is playing at the back of their minds.

    Tottenham 1-2 Man City

Mousa Dembele does well to skip past several challenges to allow Spurs to break away down the right.

Erik Lamela is played in and he has time to pick out a teammate in the middle - with Christian Eriksen probably the best option - but instead choose to go himself.

His strike is blocked and it's a wasted opportunity for Spurs. Eriksen is fuming.

Harry Kane has not been in the game very much but this clever from him on the half turn to poke it through to Christian Eriksen. He prods it towards goal, it hits Laporte and then ricochets off Eriksen's left shin. You could say it's a lucky goal but Spurs won't care - they're back in it.

  7. goal

GOAL - Tottenham 1-2 Man Citypublished at 42 mins

    Christian Eriksen

Harry Kane slips it into Christian Eriksen in the box and the Spurs man gets very fortunate as his initial shot bounces off the sliding frame of Aymeric Laporte, hits him at some speed and then flies beyond Ederson.

And he's wasted it. It flies way over the cross-bar.

    Tottenham 0-2 Man City

Raheem Sterling's sly touch nips it past Ben Davies before the winger goes down under minimal contact.

Davies is frustrated because this free-kick is in a good position for Leroy Sane.

Seth: Spurs look like they were the ones who played in midweek! I'm not impressed so far with Spurs!

Chev: Can't remember the last time I saw a Spurs performance this abject. The Tim Sherwood era maybe.

Chris: Spurs trying to emulate Man Utd from last weekend?

    Tottenham 0-2 Man City

Erik Lamela then tries to win a penalty when he invites a diving challenge from Vincent Kompany on the edge of the box but the Spurs striker is going down before he's even near him and it's waved away confidently by Jonathan Moss.

    Tottenham 0-2 Man City

This is better from Tottenham. They are keeping the ball and finding space in behind City's full-backs.

A ball in from the left is well dealt by the City defence but Jonathan Moss has to stop the game momentarily to have a quick word with Kieran Trippier and Leroy Sane after some jostling on the right-hand side.

  15. 'Spurs still in it'published at 20:20 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Tottenham 0-2 Man City

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Spurs certainly won't panic. They've been behind before this season and found a way to come back - think about Liverpool and Juventus away from home.

This City side look so up for it against them though this evening.

    Tottenham 0-2 Man City

Kieran Trippier looks to play in Erik Lamela but his weighted pass is too heavy. The two Spurs plays then turn to look at each other as if to say 'that was your fault' and they have to start all over again.

  17. 'Smart save'published at 20:18 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Tottenham 0-2 Man City

    Chris Sutton

That came from a wonderfully weighted pass from David Silva. The ball ended up back with Silva and his rippling laced shot forces Lloris into a smart save down to his left hand side.

Si: That was a shocker from Ben Davies. Lucky boy

Dave: That's the third Tottenham player who should have been sent off against City this season for atrocious tackles. Surprise, surprise, none of them were.

Ian: Got to admire City. After the last couple of weeks it would of been easy to change their style but they have been superb in the opening 25 minutes.

Rebel: City may have been dreadful over the past 10 days but some questionable decisions didn't help either. City back to their best

Howepundit: I hope City don't lose from here again!!
