Rebecca Philpot: Not in the EFL, but Macclesfield's crazy last-minute winner against Woking last weekend - ball got stuck in a puddle outside the goal in the 93rd minute, thankfully another player managed to score!

Saul Westy: The end of last night's game had nothing on us missing a promotion deciding penalty against Doncaster at one end and conceding straight away at the other. However, being a Brentford fan I wouldn't call it the best ending I've ever seen in football...

Jordan Ramsden: Come on Barnsley! We need this win

    Barnsley 0-0 Sheffield United

    Better from Sheffield United.

After a slow start, the visitors have won a pair of corners, while Lee Evans sent their first shot of the game wide of the post.

John Lundstram has just gone closer, firing over from inside the box.

    Norwich 0-0 Aston Villa

A good beginning by the hosts this. They have looked neat and tidy and Villa haven't really had a look in during the opening four minutes. No chances yet though.

    Norwich 0-0 Aston Villa

A cagey start. Norwich play some early keep ball and Ivo Pinto eventually sends a cross out for a goal kick from the right wing.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 12:31 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    Norwich 0-0 Aston Villa

We are under way at Carrow Road after a minute's applause in memory of ex-England captain Ray Wilkins, who was also a former assistant manager at Villa in 2015.

    Barnsley 0-0 Sheffield United

Sheffield United don't look like they've woken up yet for this early start.

The Blades have not managed to get a shot away in the first 10 minutes, and they're very fortunate not to be at least one goal down.

Will Barnsley regret not taking one of their early chances I wonder?

Norwich make four changes from their disappointing 4-1 defeat by QPR, with Timm Klose, Jamal Lewis, Alex Tettey and Dennis Srbeny all recalled.

Aston Villa stick with the same starting line-up which beat Reading 3-0 on Tuesday.

Norwich: Gunn, Pinto, Hanley, Klose, Lewis, Tettey, Reed, Maddison, Vrancic, Murphy, Srbeny.

Subs: McGovern, Husband, Zimmermann, Oliveira, Leitner, Hoolahan, Edwards.

Aston Villa: Johnstone, Elmohamady, Terry, Chester, Taylor, Bjarnason, Snodgrass, Hourihane, Grealish, Adomah, Hogan.

Subs: Bunn, Jedinak, Whelan, Lansbury, Onomah, Grabban, Kodjia.

    Barnsley 0-0 Sheffield United

    Barnsley are dominating here.

The Tykes again go close to grabbing an early lead, George Moncur cutting inside and smashing a shot against the crossbar.

  10. Can Villa stay in the automatic promotion race?published at 12:23 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

Norwich v Aston Villa (12:30 BST)

Villa's first Championship win of the season came against Norwich in August, a stonking 4-2 victory with Conor Hourihane grabbing a hat-trick.

They really need a win today to keep in the automatic promotion hunt, having only won once in their previous four. That did come in the last game to be fair - and before the three without a victory they had won eight in ten. They could go up to third with a win as Fulham don't play until later.

Steve Bruce (pictured on the left below) spent three years at Norwich in the mid-80s. With Cardiff losing last night, he could really do with a win against his former side.

The Canaries are hardly in fine form. Mid-table mediocrity assured, they have lost three of their past five and thoughts are already turning towards next season. Will a relaxed end-of-season feel help them produce some of their best form. Or will it be a matter of needs must for Villa?

    Close for Barnsley!

Kieffer Moore is inches away from giving the hosts the lead, just poking wide from Andy Yiadom's cross.

  12. KICK-OFFpublished at 12:19 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

Barnsley are unchanged from the side which drew 2-2 with play-off chasing Bristol City.

Sheffield United make one change, Jake Wright replacing Richard Stearman, who misses out with a hamstring problem.

Barnsley: Davies, Yiadom, Jackson, Lindsay, Fryers, Potts, Gardner, Moncur, Isgrove, Moore, McBurnie.

Subs: Walton, Hammill, Bradshaw, Cavare, Mallan, Pinnock, Mahoney.

Sheffield United: Moore, Basham, O'Connell, Wright, Baldock, Lundstram, Evans, Fleck, Stevens, Brooks, Clarke.

Subs: Eastwood, Sharp, Wilson, Leonard, Duffy, Lafferty, Holmes.

Five points from safety with only seven games to play, time is running out for Barnsley.

The Tykes have one game in hand on 21st-placed Birmingham, but with City facing a very winnable fixture against Burton today, Jose Morais' side desperately need to pick up three points at Oakwell.

Standing in their way are local rivals Sheffield United, who are just one point outside the play-off places and unbeaten in their past five games.

  17. Craziness in Cardiffpublished at 12:02 British Summer Time 7 April 2018

    FT: Cardiff 0-1 Wolves

Cardiff 0-1 Wolves doesn't quite tell the whole story.

The league leaders moved a step closer to the Championship title last night, but they had to survive TWO stoppage-time penalties against their closest rivals.

John Ruddy saved from Gary Madine, before Junior Hoilett blasted the ball against the bar as Wolves moved nine points clear at the top and 14 points ahead of third-placed Fulham.
