Only a point separates Middlesbrough and Bristol City, who both have a chance of moving into the Championship's top six with victory today.

The Robins kept their play-off hopes alive with a midweek win and have a marvelous record against their opponents, but Lee Johnson's side have been poor on their travels of late.

Boro have won five of their past six at the Riverside - there's a lot on the line.

    Accrington v Exeter (15:00 BST)

It's simple for League Two leaders Accrington Stanley - beat fourth-placed Exeter at home and they're promoted to the third tier for the first time in their history.

But manager John Coleman is wary of there being too much of a carnival atmosphere around the Wham Stadium before promotion is sealed.

"People think it's a foregone conclusion and that they are turning up for a party, but I'm sure Exeter have got a lot to say about that," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.

Wonder if owner Andy Holt will get the burgers in if they win promotion today?

Bury boss Ryan Lowe knows where his side are headed

It's been a sorry season for Bury.

The Shakers sacked manager Lee Clark in October only for his replacement Chris Lucketti to fail to win any of his 10 games in charge and go the same way as Clark in January.

Striker Ryan Lowe was placed in charge until the end of the season and oversaw a brief upturn in results. However, the Gigg Lane side reverted to type and Lowe questioned their passion after a recent defeat by rivals Rochdale.

They need a miracle to avoid relegation to League Two and even if they beat 23rd-placed Northampton today they will be down if Oldham pick up anything against Gillingham.

We could see two promotions in the EFL today.

Wolves, who play local rivals Birmingham on Sunday, will seal a return to the Premier League if Fulham fail to beat Brentford.

In League Two, Accrington Stanley will be promoted to the third tier for the first time since reforming in 1962 if they record victory against Exeter City.

It's honours even at the break at Bramall Lane.

Both teams have had opportunities in an entertaining first 45 minutes and Blades defender Richard Stearman forced an excellent save from Lions keeper Jordan Archer just before the whistle.

Bit of housekeeping, Millwall defender Shaun Hutchinson was booked before the break for a trip.

Ryan Edwards: Plymouth Argyle man on returning to football after cancer all-clear

Some great news came out of Devon this week as Plymouth defender Ryan Edwards received the all-clear from cancer.

The 24-year-old was diagnosed with testicular cancer in January but returned to the League One club this week to resume light training.

He's not ready to feature in their crunch match with Portsmouth this afternoon, but Argyle boss Derek Adams says Edwards could yet play again this season if the Pilgrims make the play-offs.

What a story that would be.

The Professional Footballers' Association awards shortlists were revealed at lunchtime today, with Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah predictably among the names to be included.

One name few would've expected to see, however, is that of Fulham left-back Ryan Sessegnon.

The 17-year-old, who made his debut for England Under-21s only last month, has been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award - becoming the first player from outside the top-flight to be shortlisted since the awards began in 1983.

Sessegnon's Fulham side take on west London rivals Brentford in today's late game at 17:30 BST.

Sheffield United fans will not need any reminding about his talent - Sessegnon bagged a hat-trick in a crazy 5-4 win for the Whites at Bramall Lane back in November.
