    Middlesbrough 1-1 Bristol City

It's still all a bit cagey between these two play-off hopefuls, but Middlesbrough are enjoying the lion's share of the ball and are carving out the odd half-chance.

If you had to pick a winner at this stage...

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton

Barnsley find some respite and almost double their lead against he run of play.

Adam Hammill floats one into the far post and Kieffer Moore rises but heads over the bar.

That would've been harsh on Bolton, who are a point adrift of Birmingham and the Tykes as things stand.

  3. goal

GOAL: Burton 3-1 Derbypublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Lucas Akins (63 mins)

    This wasn't in the script...

Burton started the day seven points from safety with just 12 points to play for, but they've been the better team against their local rivals and now have a buffer.

Derby keeper Scott Carson saves Hope Akpan's shot but he has no chance with Lucas Akins' close-range rebound.

    Grimsby 1-1 Barnet

    Now then.

Barnet are level at fellow strugglers Grimsby thanks to a goal from former Mariner Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro.

Can the Bees find a winner to put some sting back in their survival fight? (I'm sorry.)

  5. goal

GOAL: Reading 1-2 Sunderlandpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Lee Cattermole (66 mins)

He came close just now and this time Lee Cattermole scores!

It's the same combination which was so nearly successful just now - Aiden McGeady crossing for the Sunderland captain to glance in.

Chris Coleman's side back off the bottom of the Championship and fighting.

    Reading 1-1 Sunderland

We've seen the gritty side to Paul Clement's Reading but we so nearly saw a goal which would've been more suited to Clement's former sides Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

John Swift threads a delightful ball through to Sone Aluko but his lofted effort is tipped over by the fingertips of Lee Camp.

This one could now go either way.

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton

Bolton have got the hosts camped on the edge of their penalty area and we still have more than 25 minutes to go.

If this is their tactic then Barnsley are playing a brave game, but I have a feeling they're being forced into this rearguard action by an inability to retain the ball.

  8. Postpublished at 16:20 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Accrington 1-1 Exeter

Accrington still need another goal against Exeter City to seal their promotion to League One today.

Second-placed Luton can't secure promotion today regardless of other results but they're leading 3-1 against Crewe and they look almost certain to be back in the third tier next season.

  9. Postpublished at 16:18 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Reading 1-1 Sunderland

Lee Cattermole doesn't often find himself in the opposition's penalty area but he nods just over as Sunderland continue to impress.

He arrived late - much like some of his tackles over the years - but cannot quite divert Aiden McGeady's cross into the net.

  10. CLOSE!published at 16:16 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Barnsley 1-0 Bolton

Bolton threaten twice in quick succession in this mammoth clash at the bottom.

Sammy Ameobi's flick seems to hit a Barnsley hand in the box but no penalty is given, and then David Wheater saw his header cleared off the line by Andy Yiadom.

The hosts are living dangerously above that drop zone as things stand.

    Middlesbrough 1-1 Bristol City

We're back under way at the Riverside, where Bristol City have made a half-time change - bringing Eros Pisano on for goalscorer Milan Djuric.

    Reading 1-1 Sunderland

Reading show their first real attacking intent since going ahead early on, with Chris Gunter volleying a ball into the box which Lee Camp gathers.

The hosts had two players queuing at the back post for a tap-in, so it was a vital interception.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson then tees up John Swift but he's crowded out.

    Bury 1-2 Northampton

Bury v NorthamptonImage source, Getty Images

No goals in League One or League Two so far this half but just to remind you of Bury's plight.

They need to come back from 2-1 down to beat Northampton and hope that Gillingham come back from 1-0 down to win against Oldham to take their survival fight into another week.

    In other words, it's over.

  14. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 16:10 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Norwich 0-0 Cardiff

Things aren't getting any easier for Cardiff.

Bruno Ecuele Manga appears to dive in on Norwich midfielder Harrison Reed, who certainly makes the most of it.

He didn't get much on the ball, but was there contact? The ref says no.

  15. Postpublished at 16:08 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Norwich 0-0 Cardiff

Neil Warnock can't have been too happy with what he saw in that first half - his side look like dropping yet more points in the promotion race.

Callum Paterson has replaced Loic Damour - Cardiff's second change of the game already.

  16. goal

GOAL: Reading 1-1 Sunderlandpublished at 16:06 British Summer Time 14 April 2018

    Paddy McNair (47 mins)

It had been coming, but that was a rocket from Paddy McNair!

The former Manchester United man drills one from 25 yards which leaves Reading keeper Vito Mannone rooted to the spot.

Chris Coleman's Sunderland still have some life in them.

We're in for a late finish at the Riverside.
