Liverpool are struggling to come through the middle part of the pitch and are playing long balls through to Mo Salah but it’s bread and butter for the centre-halves.

Very lively start to this game by Roma. They are quick to close Liverpool down and are not giving their midfield any space to create anything.

He looked offside, and he was offside but it was hard to tell initially. The linesman raised his flagpole but it was hard to spot.

Comfortable save in the end for Loris Karius, but good start from Roma. keeping the ball, looking to play in Edin Dzeko all the time.

This high line is a dangerous tactic Roma are playing as Mohamed Salah almost takes advantage, racing on to a ball over the top and then cutting inside Juan Jesus on the right but his shot towards the near post is held by Alisson Becker.

Roma players are blocking out the noise for now as they press high up the field and look to get at Liverpool early. Edin Dzeko holds the ball before playing in Kevin Strootman, who shoots straight at the keeper.

Every early touch of the ball by Roma players is greeted with boos. A very intimidating atmosphere for the visitors.
