There are now 30 minutes until kick-off on this crucial Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.

Just a reminder that Stoke and West Brom could be relegated today and Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Watford can mathematically seal survival.

It's also a huge weekend for Southampton, Swansea, Huddersfield and West Ham. They need points and fast.

People getting underrated mixed up with over performing. Dyche is the manager of the season (over performing) but everyone's been saying that so he's not underrated. Big Sam, Chris Hughton and Claude Puel all massively underrated this season in many opinion.

Southampton are scrapping for their lives. They badly need a win to help them climb out of the bottom three, but I don't think they will get it.

Southampton manager Mark Hughes: "I don't think we'll fall into the trap of thinking that we got the job done last weekend [by beating Bournemouth] because we haven't. Nowhere near it.

"For all the emotion that we saw and the fact we were able to at long last please our supporters, we have to do it again and we don't want to disappoint our fans by losing at Everton."

Everton manager Sam Allardyce: "One thing you need to give the lads credit for is not switching off. They have achieved performances and results when there is no threat of relegation.

"To continue to win matches is always important. You have seem teams drop off before and that hasn't happened [with us]."

Stoke v Crystal Palace (12:30 BST)

It is a fine day in the Potteries. The sun is belting down on the red seats of the bet365 Stadium.

The Stoke players are first out onto the pitch for their warm-ups. They're knocking the ball around in little triangles.

Stoke v Crystal Palace (12:30 BST)

Stoke make one change from the side that took a point away to Liverpool last time out with Glen Johnson coming in at right-back to replace the injured Bruno Martins Indi and Kurt Zouma shuffling inside to centre-back. Moritz Bauer is deployed on the left with with Peter Crouch and Mame Biram Diouf starting together up front for the third successive game. .

Crystal Palace are unchanged for the fourth game in succession as Roy Hodgson understandably keeps faith with the XI that started the 5-0 home win over Leicester last time out.

There is a change on the bench however with Diego Cavalieri replacing Julian Speroni as the backup goalkeeper. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Wilfried Zaha the main creative outlet for the visitors.

    Everton v Southampton (17:30 BST)

Southampton head to the north west with renewed belief following last weekend's much-needed victory over Bournemouth.

Their first win in nine matches was also their first under Mark Hughes and means they're now only a point behind Swansea in the race for survival.

Next Tuesday's trip to face the Swans looms large on the horizon, but Saints must first try to do something they haven't managed in over 20 years - namely, take all three points at Goodison Park.

Everton are on a decent run of results and sit comfortably in eighth place, exactly where Southampton finished a year ago. Now Saints have got three big games in a week to avoid relegation.

  9. Early team newspublished at 11:44 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

    Everton v Southampton (17:30 BST)

Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss the remainder of the season with a stress fracture in his back.

Defender Mason Holgate is back in training after an ankle injury but will not be risked this weekend.

Southampton have no new injury worries, although club captain Steven Davis is still sidelined by an Achilles problem and might not play again this season.

Winger Sofiane Boufal is unlikely to be involved following his recent fall-out with manager Mark Hughes.

Who is the best underrated manager?published at 11:42 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

Ryan Leadbetter: Definitely Sean Dyche in my opinion. Burnley narrowly avoided relegation last season and are hoping to qualify for Europe the next. Terrific job all round from him and the players.

Mollie: As a Huddersfield fan, I have to say David Wagner. Smallest budget and bought wisely, and we're so close to staying up. Recognition certainly has to go to Sean Dyche though. Absolutely incredible what's he's done this season.

Joris Wouters: For me its Roy Hodgson no doubt about it. After 6 games no points no goals Palace were written off. Now after their 5-0 deserved win they are all but safe. Excellent work Roy!!!

This is where the Baggies revival ends. They need to win to have any chance of staying up, but I see them being beaten by Tottenham.

West Brom caretaker boss Darren Moore on his manager of the month nomination: "It's great to be nominated with those calibre of managers, it really, really is - I am honoured.

"But I will share that nomination with everybody here at West Brom. The reason I can sit up here and talk about it is because of the tremendous work everybody has done behind the scenes."

  13. 'A massive battle'published at 11:39 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "West Brom are showing great character in their last few games - the capacity to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford and draw with Liverpool. They are doing fantastic in the last few months and of course they have the belief still [that they can stay up].

"We are playing to be in the top four and try to play Champions League next season. I think it will be a massive battle for them, but also for us."

For fantasy football purposes I definitely need a big effort from Harry Kane today. Anyone in a similar position?

  15. 'Opportunity for Kane'published at 11:38 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

West Brom v Tottenham (15:00 BST)

    Mark Scott

While it would take a remarkable run of results for West Brom to pull off the greatest of great escapes, external, the mere fact they have even the slightest glimmer of hope is testament to the superb job Darren Moore has done - and with reports claiming the Baggies are looking to appoint a new boss in the next fortnight, his name surely has to be in the frame.

While West Brom need a miracle, Spurs are comfortably heading for Champions League qualification. Winning their final three matches would guarantee a third-placed finish as well.

Recent meetings also suggest the game gives Harry Kane a good opportunity to narrow the gap on Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.

West Brom v Tottenham (15:00 BST)

West Brom's Nacer Chadli is fit to face his previous club Spurs after recovering from a hip injury.

Gareth Barry and James Morrison remain unavailable and are unlikely to feature again this season.

Tottenham will check on the fitness of Mousa Dembele, who was forced off with an ankle sprain against Watford.

Danny Rose is also doubtful as he continues to recover from a calf injury, and Harry Winks remains sidelined with an ankle problem.

If you're in Stoke's position, having played one more game and still need a win – you don't need that pressure.

History suggests it's been done before, it's not impossible, you're in that position where you don’t have a choice and you have to try and win those games.

Newcastle lost at home to West Brom and it is a bit like they are on the beach since they hit the 40-point mark. The thing about the Premier League is that, if you are not quite at it, you get turned over. That is why I am backing Watford here.

  20. 'Great achievement for Newcastle'published at 11:26 British Summer Time 5 May 2018

Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez: "At the beginning [of the season], to finish in the top 17 would have been fine. For us, it was a great achievement.

"If we can finish in the top 10, it would be even better for everyone to be proud of this season. Every player knows this and they will try.

"For me, it's not a big difference to finish 12th or eighth, but because we are where we are, I would like to finish eighth if it's possible or ninth or 10th. It would be much better."
