Inevitably though, all of today's action comes with half a mind on Sir Alex Ferguson.

The former Manchester United manager - the most successful in the history of the British game - is in intensive care in Salford Royal Hospital after an emergency operation yesterday following a brain haemorrhage.

Football figures around the world have been offering up messages of support.

That is the first match in a three-course gourmet selection offered up by the Premier League this Sunday.

I say, three courses but your main and pud are going to be funnelled down your gullet simultaneously.

As Burnley attempt to upset the apple cart in Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's last home game in charge of the Gunners, Chelsea are attempting to turn the battle for the final Champions League spots into a three-way tug-of-war.

Both get going at 16:30 BST.

For Huddersfield, the prize at stake may be even bigger.

The Terriers, scrapping for Premier League survival, will be hoping to nick off with something while City are focused on the cornation to come.

They will have enjoyed Everton's last-kick leveller which denied Southampton a win yesterday that would have taken them above David Wagner's side on goal difference.

It is Chelsea away and then Arsenal at home on the final day for Huddersfield.

Even with Swansea and Southampton playing each other on Tuesday, they could do with something from somewhere.

After Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini, today is Pep Guardiola's turn to get his mitts on the Premier League trophy.

Manchester City - champions in all but name since beating Manchester United at Old Trafford in December - will lift their third Premier League title this afternoon, after glorious 'Aguerrrooo' success in 2012 and pipping Liverpool to the post in 2014.

And their first without Edin Dzeko draped in the Bosnian flag stood on Vincent Kompany's left.

City will hoist the spoils after today's meeting with Huddersfield. Kick off 13:30 BST.
