Jack Conlon: Cheryshev will be 'the' World Cup player who gets a huge transfer from a panicky club based purely off of the tournament and no other scouting won't he?
Russia 2-0 Egypt
Denis Cheryshev has picked a good time to find scoring form - he had not scored an international goal before the World Cup. Now he's joint top scorer with Cristiano Ronaldo.
Denis Cheryshev
Start building the statue of this man in Russia. Denis Cheryshev scores his third goal of the World Cup.
It's good play by Mario Fernandes, a former Brazil international, down the right and he squares to Villarreal winger Cheryshev, who slams home from 12 yards out.
Cheryshev doubles Russia's lead against Egypt
Watch the moment Ahmed Fathy put the ball in his own net.
Calamitous Fathy own goal gives Russia lead
Russia 1-0 Egypt
A lot of opinions seem to hone in on Mohamed Salah not being fully fit for this fixture.
He has lined up largely on the right flank but it is notable how the majority of Egypt attacks have been on the opposite side of the pitch.
Can they get him in the game more? Would it be worth him spending 10 minutes on the left flank?
Russia 1-0 Egypt
Egypt just clear before Artem Dzyuba can head home from Denis Cheryshev's cross.
One more goal and you feel it's all over.
Russia 1-0 Egypt
Oh no, this was the chance for Mohamed Salah. The ball breaks for him 14 yards out, but he can't find space and slams it off a defender.
A fully fit Salah in a Liverpool jersey and that's definitely 1-1.
Russia 1-0 Egypt

Russia 1-0 Egypt
Mohamed Salah tries to put pressure on 38-year-old Sergei Ignashevich but he can't get there and the defender finds his keeper.
Russia 1-0 Egypt
Russian corner, Aleksandr Samedov takes and it's headed away for another. The next cross is no better and it's cleared into touch.

Al Mamun: Own Goal is gonna get the Golden Boot in this World Cup!!!
Lotak: One of the best own goals. What spin on that shot! Brilliantly taken. So unfortunate.
Lee: Having to explain an ‘own goal’ to my 7yr old twin girls is more difficult than I’d imagined. Hoping they don’t ask about the offside rule
Russia 1-0 Egypt
No immediate reply from Egypt - not counting Trezeguet's poor pass from the left wing which goes past everyone.
Russia 1-0 Egypt
Egypt need to score - or else they'll be relying on Saudi Arabia to beat Uruguay tomorrow to have any chance of staying in the tournament.
Likewise, if Russia win, only a Saudi Arabia victory tomorrow - which seems unlikely after their 5-0 drubbing in the opener - would keep the group going to the third game.
And even then there'd need to be really high scoring games to overturn that 5-0 goal difference.
Russia 1-0 Egypt
Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One
They've got the goal they wanted.
What a wonderful opportunity this is for Russia. They're not playing anyone they feel uncomfortable against or that they can't beat.
If they win tonight they will exceed a lot of people's expectations, including probably ours.
Russia 1-0 Egypt
Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live
Russia have been the better side and deserve it.
The ball was played to Dzyuba who used his physicality and frightened the defender Fathy.
He should have attacked that ball, he panicked and poorly played the ball into his own net.

That's five own goals in this World Cup now. They might be on for Just Fontaine's record at this rate.
Ahmed Fathy own goal
Calamity for Egypt. Russia lead.
Aleksandr Golovin's cross is punched clear by Mohamed El-Shenawy, but only as far as Roman Zobnin.
The Russian player takes a terrible shot, which is definitely off target, and Ahmed Fathy turns the ball past his own keeper from about 12 yards out while trying to keep the ball away from Artem Dzyuba.
I guess he did technically succeed...
Russia 0-0 Egypt
A bounce ball early in the second half. You don't see loads of them anymore.
Russia 0-0 Egypt
Second half is under way. Some goals please.
