It was a poor half, I thought, it was not a great standard with only one effort on target.
Russia are trying to get down the sides and get crosses into their big man in the box but we're desperately hoping for more.
Mo Salah, you can tell, is only 70-75% fit and they know that - they're protecting him, he's not running back and they're just trying to get the ball up to him.
It's been a frustrating half for him.
Mohamed Salah's best moment of the first half...

Adam O'Neil: After no games in the first round of group games finished 0-0, this is nailed on to finish 0-0.
Keep the faith, Adam.

Russia are playing cross after cross and have not made anything. Some find Dzyuba but they usually just bounce off his head, he's very static.
It's hard to grab a hold and mark you if you keep moving, he needs to drop in and out of the box. It's been lumbering, it's lazy. He's got to give himself a bit of a run.

My colleagues were having a go earlier, and they looked very cool with the device on their heads...
This isn't the strongest World Cup group there's ever been.
It involves the teams ranked 70th (Russia), 67th (Saudi Arabia), 45th (Egypt) and 14th (Uruguay) in the world.
Russia 0-0 Egypt
Only one shot on target in that first half - through veteran Russia defender Sergei Ignashevich.
Russia have had eight in total, with five for Egypt.
Russia 0-0 Egypt
No need for injury-time. We're level at the break.

This is Mo Salah lite. I am impressed with him, he's kept going. He is putting his body on the line, he's doing the right intelligent things. Even if I say he's not the Salah we know, I'm still impressed.
Russia 0-0 Egypt
Not long until the break now.
Russia 0-0 Egypt
Denis Cheryshev takes a corner for Russia, but Artem Dzyuba - who is in a physical tussle with Ali Gabr - can't get a shot in.
Dzyuba must be exhausting to mark, he's constantly grappling away.
Russia 0-0 Egypt
Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One
The only surprise is the net didn't bulge.
It's exactly the position we've seen Mo Salah score from so many times but he just can't quite wrap his foot around it.
Russia 0-0 Egypt
Chance for Mohamed Salah - Marwan Mohsen steps over the ball so it can run to Salah. He swivels and curls one just wide from 18 yards. Better.
Russia 0-0 Egypt

Meanwhile I'm looking out onto an empty plaza in Salford...
Russia 0-0 Egypt
Mohamed Salah has a chance to get away from his defender but can't turn on the turbo boost.
Now Mohamed Elneny plays a good ball into the box, which Marwan Mohsen tries to head down to Salah but it's through to the keeper.
Russia 0-0 Egypt
It's very tight - according to the stats.
Next to nothing in the possession. Six shots for the hosts, four for Egypt. A game very much in the balance. Any goal before half-time would be absolutely huge.
Plenty of half-chances but nothing too memorable so far. Here's the best of the bunch in the opening 37 minutes...
