Johnny: Genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if Egypt fail to qualify for the next three or four World Cups. They have good wide players but only ever want to play through the middle - their players aren’t good enough for that. Salah, Elneny and Trezguet are wasted on this team.

Yasman: It's not a surprise that Saudi Arabia are offering more threat in this match than in their previous two previous matches. They don't have anything to lose.

Essam El Hadary continues to roll back the years as he makes two fine saves in quick succession to frustrate Saudi Arabia.

He uses his finger-tips to push Housain Al-Mogahwi's header over the bar and from the corner he beats away an effort from Muhannad Assiri.

    Tremendous stuff from the 45-year-old.

Egypt, for all their many chances, have managed one shot on target. That is poor and some of their fans are starting to get frustrated in Volgograd.

Free-kick to Egypt near the corner flag. Mo Salah is standing over the ball but it is easily dealt with by the Saudi defence.

Then the Green Falcons carelessly give the ball away and it leads to a chance for Trezeguet who plants a header just wide.

This is so much better by Saudi Arabia. The team thrashed 5-0 by Russia have enjoyed 65% possession against Egypt.

They've already had four shots on target - that's twice as many as they managed in their previous two games in Russia.
