Peru have good athleticism, both full-backs look more than capable of getting forward and getting into the box, they'll be pleased with the start they've made.

The excitement and expectation is so high among Peru fans but the players have started extremely well. Denmark can't get on the ball and they are being overrun with the pace Peru are playing at.

Andre Carrillo has shown enough step overs in 12 minutes to comfortbly take us over the quota for the full month of World Cup action.

From the right flank he cuts in and whips a shot with power from his left peg. Brilliant hit and a super save by Kasper Schmeichel who got down well.

Interesting to see Christian Eriksen trying to find pockets, but he's finding it difficult, the two Peru holding midfielders are keeping an eye on him.

Peru go long and pick up on the second ball. Andre Carrillow shows a neat flick and he looks lively. A ricochet denies him and seconds later Edison Flores has a dig from 30 yards but it's over.

Peru seem to have a shoot on sight policy in these early stages.

Good to see the sticker collecting is still serious business. As we told you earlier, police have been involved in Peru due to so many counterfeit books being made.

It was non-stop singing from the Peru fans during my flight here and it's been similar on the streets ever since. It only adds to the tournament.

That is 444 minutes Denmark have gone without conceding a goal (in Fifa recognised games). The last time they conceded was during November's 5-1 play-off second leg win against the Republic of Ireland.

Andreas Christensen has the ball deep for Denmark and Peru drop off into their shape. Christensen goes back and Kasper Schmeichel's kick is poor, giving Peru the chance to attack again.

They've started well and a bang from Yoshimar Yotun some 35 yards out packs real pace but is well held.

Everything from Denmark's point of view will be down to Christian Eriksen and what he can produce. But these Peruvians play with a lot of pace and technical ability so let's see what they bring to the game.

Nice start by Peru as they work the ball into wide areas and swing crosses in from each flank. Edison Flores goes down in the box but that's never a penalty.

Here is how they line up if you're just joining us. Paolo Guerrero is on the bench for Peru in perhaps the biggest surprise.

Kasper Schmeichel was below par at Leicester this season although he was key for them when they won the league. For some reason he has just dropped off it this year but a strong World Cup will be good for him.

Both Peru and Denmark are enjoying great times as both arrive in Russia with national records of 15 matches unbeaten.

Denmark did lose two friendlies in January but they were played in Abu Dhabi and not recognised by Fifa.

The Danes may well be encouraged by the way Peru give up goals as the side from South America conceded in 16 of their 18 qualifiers.

The coin toss is done. Time to get down to it. Tremendous noise in this 44,000 seat arena.

That's how you sing an anthem. Eyes closed, chest out, head high. The Peru bench take the award for finest singing effort of the World Cup to date...
