Iceland let Nigeria off the hook there. I know what Cristiano Ronaldo would have done there - he would have scored.

Nigeria 1-0 Iceland
It's too far out for a strike, even for Gylfi Sigurdsson, who puts in his worst delivery of the day, over the heads of the Iceland attackers and straight into the arms of Francis Uzoho.
Maybe a shot would have been better.
Nigeria 1-0 Iceland
Wilfried Ndidi breaks up a promising attack for Iceland and is perhaps fortunate to avoid a yellow card.
This free-kick has Gylfi Sigurdsson very interested...
Nigeria 1-0 Iceland
Nigeria string together some sharp, quick passes, playing in Ahmed Musa in the area as the striker tries to find his fellow Fox in Kelechi Iheanacho.
But it's great defending by Kari Arnason to stick a boot in and clear.

An hour and one wonder-goal in. So plenty to go at.

The Iceland supporters are just getting going again - just as the team does. They are intrinsically linked - the players and the fans.
Nigeria 1-0 Iceland
Gylfi Sigurdsson clips in the corner, it deflects down but Victor Moses is the first man to the second ball, hacking clear.
Iceland come again as the thunderclap reaches its crescendo...but Rurika Gislason rather spoils the big finish as he commits a foul.
Nigeria 1-0 Iceland
Iceland have responded well to going a goal down, swinging in more challenging crosses.
Leon Balogun heads one clear before another is deflected out for a corner.
And here comes the thunderclap again...
Nigeria 1-0 Iceland
Nearly another Leicester howitzer for Nigeria.
Wilfried Ndidi picks the ball up in space in the centre and unleashes a powerful drive that takes a big deflection.
Hannes Halldorsson does well to watch it all the way and tip it over the bar.
Iceland clear the resulting corner.

Nigeria 1-0 Iceland
Gislason and Saevarsson work it to Gylfi Sigurdsson down the right.
The Everton striker brilliantly swerves past his man and tries to play in a cross, it's blocked and Sigurdsson appeals madly for handball in the area.
That was accidental though and the referee waves play on.
Sigurdsson had stopped though and Iceland squander possession.

Nigeria 1-0 Iceland
Iceland ready a replacement but Sigurdsson is determined to carry on.
The medical staff clean the wound and wrap a big pink bandage around his head.
The defender jogs over to the sideline to change his shirt and, after a lengthy delay, play is about to resume.
Nigeria 1-0 Iceland

Nigeria look a totally different team in this second half - they look so positive and energetic. But what a wonderful touch and finish by Ahmed Musa.

Finally, Nigeria show some of the attacking ability we know they have.
The touch is absolutely sublime - a super break and a brilliant finish by Musa.
The transfer was quick and Iceland weren't able to get back. It's the first time Nigeria have been in full flow.
Nigeria 1-0 Iceland
More woe for Iceland as Ragnar Sigurdsson took a nasty accidental blow to the back of the head from Ahmed Musa's knee just after the goal.
The Iceland defender is down, the back of his head bloodied, and receiving attention from the physios.
Nigeria 1-0 Iceland

Ironically the goal comes from an Iceland long throw. Victor Moses puts a fantastic ball in and Ahmed Musa has a brilliant first touch and a outstanding finish on the half-volley.
Ahmed Musa
WHAT A GOAL!
Nigeria clear a long Iceland throw from their area and work it to Victor Moses down the right.
The Chelsea wing-back surges clear and swings in a cross to Ahmed Musa.
The Leicester striker still has plenty to do, taking a deft touch with the outside of his boot before ripping in a half-volley high past Hannes Halldorsson.

Nigeria v Iceland. Best game of the World Cup so far. No cheating. No diving. No egos. No petulance. Just two physical teams going toe to toe. Love it.
