    Brazil 2-0 Mexico

Roberto Firmino's goal was his first competitive strike for Brazil since October 2016 against Bolivia (the fifth in a 5-0 win in World Cup qualifying).

He's been in excellent form for Liverpool this season and looked good for Brazil in their World Cup warm-up games.

Not a bad player to bring on off the bench, huh?

You can't say Mexico haven't given it everything. They have tried to get that ball into the box with crosses, passes and shots, but Brazil have always had the answer.

    Brazil 2-0 Mexico

Carlos Vela is trying to carve out a chance for Mexico. He can't get through the middle so it's played out wide to Miguel Layun and Hirving Lozano.

Eventually Giovanni dos Santos is the one to attempt a cross but Thiago Silva is a rock at the back for Brazil.

Layun has another go but this time it ends up in Alisson's hands.

Jack: Neymar gets an assist for Firmino and celebrates on his own instead of with the goalscorer. Classic Neymar

Tony: Brazil should start Firmino ahead of Jesus, just looks like he'll link up play more and bring Coutinho and Willian into the game.

That is all Fernandinho's work. He intercepts a pass from Mexico and then passes it into Neymar's feet. The forward breaks at speed and toe-pokes it at the keeper, before Fimino taps in. What a sub to bring on.

    Roberto Firmino

    Super-subs.

Fernandinho plays a lovely weighted pass into Neymar and he has space to run into. He drives into the box and has a shot but Guillermo Ochoa gets a toe to it.

Roberto Firmino is the guy in the right place at the right time. He slots it into the back of the net from six yards with his fourth touch since coming on.

Aidan: I hope Mexico equalise during the injury time generated by Neymar's antics

Glyn: I think I have well and truly fallen out of love with the Brazilian myth in this game. Gamesmanship/timewasting has no part in the beautiful game

Jodmos: Mexico should be knocking the ball into the box. With the amount of penalties in this competition, always worth a shot.

Paulinho has played well today and kept the ball moving. He has been a bit of a catalyst for Brazil but Fernandinho is not a bad replacement to bring on. He has gone and stood right in front of his two centre-halves.
