Hirving Lozano is such a threat for Mexico. He goes down the outside of Fagner but the Brazilian recovers well and slides in at the right moment to prevent the cut back.

It deflects back off the Mexican and it's out for a goal kick.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 77 mins

    Brazil 1-0 mexico

Carlos Vela hasn't given up yet. He drives down the left but his cross is intercepted before a Mexican player can get his head on the end of it.

It falls to Neymar in midfield and Carlos Salcedo brings him down with a thumping tackle. Another yellow card.

    Brazil 1-0 Mexico

Willian is given far too much space. He steps inside onto his left foot, sees the space and has a crack.

But it's a tame effort and rolls into the hands of the keeper. He really has been excellent today, Willian.

    Brazil 1-0 Mexico

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 live

I'm embarrassed for Neymar. He is one of the world's greatest players but when he rolls about on the floor, I just don't get it. Come on young man you're better than that, get on with the game.

    Brazil 1-0 Mexico

He spends a lot of time on the ground but when Neymar has the ball at his feet, he's effective.

No player has scored more 2014 and 2018 World Cup goals than Neymar - level with James Rodriguez on 6.

  11. 'Strong-willed Mexico'published at 16:28 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

    Brazil 1-0 Mexico

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Neymar, Willian, Coutinho and Jesus are all running at the Mexico defence. But they have stayed resolute and are they are strong-willed. They just might get a chance playing like this.

Oh dear. Neymar is down on the touchline, rolling around in agony.

He's claiming Miguel Layun stood on his ankle and wants it to go to VAR but the referee has decided otherwise.

    Brazil 1-0 Mexico

    Patrick Jennings

This past 20 minutes has just been absolutely sensational. So absorbing after that cagey first half.

You have to say Willian has been the real catalyst for Brazil. The man can run with a football.

    Brazil 1-0 Mexico

    Mexico are still getting opportinities.

Herrera pokes in a cross from the right and it just misses Giovani dos Santos but falls to Andres Guardado.

The captain opens up his body and blasts it but it's blocked and the opportunity goes missing.

Willian has covered plenty of ground today. He's had 56 touches - only Neymar has had more (57).

Willian goes running down the left this time. He's been excellent today and his pace sets up another Brazilian attack.

It comes to Neymar in the middle of the box but his strike is deflected out for a corner by Andres Guardado.

Andrew: Some of the Mexican players are busy going for glory instead of passing to teammates in better positions.

Nadeem: Lack of experience and poor judgement in the final third will cost Mexico this game

David: Willian was anonymous during the group stages and now i know why. He was saving all his energy for the knockout games. Has been terrific today

  18. Rate the playerspublished at 16:23 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

What do you make of Mexican keeper Guillermo Ochoa's performance today? He's been pretty decent in my books.

    I'd drop him a high 7.

Neymar is on the floor again. Although to be fair to him, he did get a little nibble on the ankle.

The Mexicans haven't given him much sympathy today.
