Funny really. Spain have had so much of the ball, but needed an OG to go ahead. Russia have, at times, only been able to watch the ball rather than kick it, yet their direct approach looks a threat.

Alexandr Golovin is trying to bend it in but it goes a foot wide.

This passing it around on the halfway line is all well and good, but Spain have only had one touch in the Russia box. Stick them on a shotclock. Use it or lose it.

Fifa president Gianni Infantino is relaxing in a big leather chair, the kind that Joey and Chandler had in Friends. I wonder how many times that man has shaken hands in the past fortnight. I hope he moisturises.

Isco is even back defending, cutting out a cross from a charging Roman Zobnin. For some time, the bulk of the game has been played in the Spanish half.

With the aerial threat Russia have, they can put good quality balls into the area and Spain will struggle.
