I think Pique knows what he is doing for the Russia penalty. Once he loses the ball in the air he just puts his hand up.

It's a great penalty from Dzyuba and the game plan has worked perfectly. They have sat deep and waited for their set-piece chance, and that is what happened.

After about 35 minutes Russia started to play the ball forwards with belief and intent. It was a penalty. Gerard Pique is a mate of mine but he's lying there when he claims it wasn't a handball!

Spain play sideways too often. Possession football is the philosophy of this team and they have had great success with it but when the avenues to pass forwards have opened up they have turned away.

They have to play with risk sometimes. When you are on top you have to make chances.

Imagine playing up front in this team? Imagine how frustrated you'd be.

Spain have had two touches in the Russian box so they have got to open them up more. Without doubt they are missing Iniesta's quick feet because he can take the ball in tight areas and play.

Spain do not affect the final third, they have to raise the tempo straight after half-time.

It's a handball and Pique knew exactly what he was doing. You run a risk of conceding a penalty with your hand that high in the air. Dzyuba's header is on target and it's a penalty.

The penalty is superbly placed and what a moment for all of the supporters. Dzyuba waits for De Gea to move before stroking the ball into the net.

All that faffing around with the ball has got Spain nothing but level. 73% of the ball, no shots, no corners. Russia have got it forward quickly and have got their reward. There is no argument on the penalty. No one needs to jump with their arm like that. Gerard Pique was like Alan Shearer celebrating a goal.
