Danish fans definitely, definitely on top in here right now.
As are their team.

If Knudsen goes down there, I think he would've won a penalty kick. I admire his honesty, but there was contact, and other players would've gone down.
Croatia 1-1 Denmark
Christian Eriksen has had more useful touches in extra time than the whole of the first 90 minutes. That's a good cross in, but nobody there to meet it.
Croatia 1-1 Denmark
I got excited there as Denmark freed Christian Eriksen into space for once but his cross is disappointingly overlcubbed. On the other flank Jonas Knudsen hurdles a challenge and has a cross blocked. Could he have gone down?
Croatia 1-1 Denmark
Denmark hurl a long throw-in but it's nodded out, Jonas Knudsen will send it back in from the other wing. Ante Rebic does well to clear.
While we wait for that injury to be cleared up let's remember a good goal from last night.
Better times.
Croatia 1-1 Denmark
Denmark put in an early cross and we have a stoppage as Mario Mandzukic gets an arm to the chin.

And away we go again. Got to do better everyone...

DigitalTeez: So much for the goal fest
Gareth: I have to be honest and say I thought Croatia would have had this one sown up easily
Rich: Denmark have looked happy to see it go right to penalties since the beginning of the second half.... But why Croatia havent pressed harder is disappointing and somewhat puzzling

There are some big players on the pitch, who are big players because they can seize the game. I have to admit, it's the summer and they've had long seasons, but even so, you can see there is a real lack of effort and desire.
The last time two World Cup games went to penalties on the same day was 21 June 1986.
The day before 'the hand of God...'
Both sides had one shot on target in the second half. Terry Butcher calls the game 'absolute rubbish' and who are we to argue with a former England captain?

It has definitely got little more tense in here but that is the effect of the clock in a knockout game rather than anything that happened on the pitch.
Given what has already happened today, the huge number of Russians in here probably quite fancy penalties.
Croatia have been talking recently about this World Cup as a chance to emulate their team of 1998 - but they have been strangely listless tonight.
Massages, an ice pack on the head of Zanka.
Is it a psychological problem which has held these sides back? Pressure does odd things.
Croatia 1-1 Denmark
Martin Braithwaite volleys an effort from a Danish corner wide, and that's that.
The end of 90 minutes. Eighty-six of them were woeful.
Croatia 1-1 Denmark
Worth a hit - Ivan Rakitic connects with a fine effort from a good 25 yards but it's always skimming just wide of the bottom corner.

Three minutes added on. Make it 33, we're going to extra-time.

Christian Eriksen has been really quiet and has not had any impact at all. He is not picking up the ball in dangerous areas.
