Denmark make another switch as Andreas Cornelius is benched and Nicolai Jorgensen comes on. Newcastle wanted him in January. Can he show us why?

    Croatia 1-1 Denmark

Croatia, asleep since half time, win a corner. Time to clamber out of knockout hibernation lads. Nope, Luka Modric's cross is cleared.

    Croatia 1-1 Denmark

Still Denmark doing all the second-half pressing. The ball comes to Martin Braithwaite inside the area and he shows just why Tony Pulis bombed him out of Boro.

    Even Peter Schmeichel looks bored.

It's a really strange one here, it feels a little like two teams are playing for a World Cup quarter-final place in the midst of a Russian celebration.

Neither side really has enough support to raise their team - and when they do try to they are drowned out by the locals.

This game is like the descent from a mountain - all downhill.

David: This game being played in excellent spirit. No mobbing of the ref and no play acting

Keith: Nope. Can't think of anything to say.

Ben: Croatia to form. Superb in groups then slump in the knockout stages. No urgency. Danes are poor. Croatia should be punishing Danish caution.

Fortune favours the brave at this point. I'm looking at the dugouts as much as the players. If they really want to take this game by the scruff of the neck, are they prepared to make a change and take a gamble?

    Croatia 1-1 Denmark

Good run and cross from Denmark forward Yussuf Poulsen, it's half cut out and Martin Braithwaite then slashes at the ball and slices it wide.

We are sleepwalking towards a penalty shootout at the moment. This has been a poor game and I tell you what, Russia won't have seen much to fear here.

    YET.

The Croatians haven't picked up the pace in any way, and when they have got the ball they expect Mandzukic to hold it up, but he's been bullied off it tonight.

Denmark seeing more of the ball since the restart, Croatia very passive. Are they letting a great chance pass them by?

Does anybody in the bottom half even want to win this World Cup?!

Tottenham's Christian Eriksen covered more distance - 36km - in the group stage than any other player.

And he has been very busy again tonight for precious little reward. The game seems to be being played around him a little at the moment. He is is struggling to influence the contest.

Just in a little lull at the moment, a touch flat in the stadium.

Should we need it, we can go to extra time and then penalties this evening. Both sides have 40 minutes to render those options unnecessary.

It's slow going out there. Come on now, this has been a brilliant World Cup, let's not ruin it all in the knockout phase.

Weird, quiet feel about this game. Hungover from the Russia win earlier on?

    It's there for either side.

Denmark have made a positive change. Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen had been playing in midfield but he's off and on comes Ajax man Lasse Schone.
