David: Shaqiri needs to learn how to use his right foot. Far too easy to defend against. Just constantly trying to get it inside on the left.

Jack: Oh great, best chance of reaching a final in a generation (IF we get through - big if) and our bogey side awaits in the next round

Gergory: No Zlatan, no problem. It is truly addition by subtraction for Sweden. Outstanding team effort without having to rely on one superstar to win matches

  3. 'Sweden edged it'published at 17:07 British Summer Time 3 July 2018

    FT: Sweden 1-0 Switzerland

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender in Russia

The worst thing Manuel Akanji can do, is just dangle a leg to block the shot because the goalkeeper had it covered, but the deflection gave him no chance. I think Sweden edged it and through determination and organisation.

  4. 'Fake Xhaka'published at 17:07 British Summer Time 3 July 2018

    FT: Sweden 1-0 Switzerland

    Phil Neville
Former England & Man Utd defender in Russia

Granit Xhaka probably thinks he had a decent game today because he passed the ball sideways to his teammates, but he cost his team the goal. He allows players past him too easily and he is the holding midfielder. He is fake.

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on BBC One

I quite enjoyed it and it was an entertaining watch. Switzerland threw everything at Sweden in the end. In fairness to Sweden, what they lack in attack, they make up for with their spirit and togetherness.

I am not amazed that this game was decided by a deflection. England or Colombia, you have nothing to fear.

If England play against that Sweden team, 99 times out of 100, they will beat them.

    Mark Lawrenson

It's such a clever break by Sweden. Martin Olsson does well and he makes sure the Swiss player has to tackle him. But I think the first contact is outside the box.
