Now we are talking about a tactical change to get us through. We don't care how we do it, just get the win.

Ashley Young's experience and level headedness could save us. He's the one keeping everyone calm at the minute and keeping them out of the referee's way.

That is a penalty for me. I think we have been hard done by.

    Colombia 0-1 England

Davinson Sanchez did not get the ball but I don't think he actually caught Jesse Lingard either. No penalty...

  7. 'Stick on penalty'published at 20:39 British Summer Time 3 July 2018

    Colombia 0-1 England

    Terry Butcher
Ex-England captain on BBC Radio 5 live

I thought Sanchez caught Jesse Lingard there. I think it was a stick on penalty.

  8. Postpublished at 77 mins

    Colombia 0-1 England

It's suddenly opening up. This is dangerous for England.

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 77 mins

    Colombia 0-1 England

Penalty?! England come away on the break, Raheem Sterling does brilliantly and plays in Jesse Lingard, who goes down as he looked to get a shot away.

    Foul? No!

    And no VAR review either...

    Colombia 0-1 England

The last neutral watching this game in the world has probably switched over, this is as ugly as the beautiful game gets. England are being professional though and are closing in on a first knockout win since 2006.

Free-kick comes in and it's just over Harry Kane.

  14. 'Patient England'published at 20:35 British Summer Time 3 July 2018

    Colombia 0-1 England

    Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Patient football by England with lots of crisp passing and good movement. It's a great tackle by Sanchez to cut the ball out and the Colombian centre-halves have done a good job tonight.

  15. 'Sterling's best game in an England shirt'published at 20:35 British Summer Time 3 July 2018

    Colombia 0-1 England

    Danny Murphy
    Former England midfielder

I have been impressed with Raheem Sterling tonight. One of his best, if not his best in an England shirt.

  16. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Colombia 0-1 England

Well played, the best bit of play all game. England release Jesse Lingard into the area, he has Harry Kane square and would find him but for a brilliant last-gasp block by Davinson Sanchez. Harry Maguire, who seems to win EVERYTHING in Russia, heads on to the roof of the net.

  17. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Colombia 0-1 England

Colombia have less than 20 minutes to find a goal. It only takes one to score one though.

Jordan Pickford has only had to make one save all night.

  18. 'Make Colombia earn it'published at 20:33 British Summer Time 3 July 2018

    Colombia 0-1 England

    Danny Murphy
    Former England midfielder

Although it has been scrappy at times, we have defended with good discipline and patience. They lack pace Colombia. Don't give them anything, make them earn it. Colombia have to come out otherwise they are out of the World Cup.

  19. 'Colombia have lost their discipline'published at 20:32 British Summer Time 3 July 2018

    Colombia 0-1 England

    Terry Butcher
Ex-England captain on BBC Radio 5 live

It's anti-football from Colombia and England just need to keep their cool. It's just niggly stuff and I think England will get another goal because Colombia have lost their discipline.
