Football's Coming Home is being blasted out of the speakers at the Spartak... Three Lions, and about 30 fans from what I can see.

Seriously, though, there are pockets of England fans in the mass of Colombian yellow in every stand, and they all enjoyed that bit of Baddiel & Skinner immensely.

England are still a big scalp in world football. Everybody loves to play England and everybody loves to beat England. Colombia have never beaten us so it would be a massive scalp for them tonight.

    Sweden 1-0 Switzerland

Sweden will play either England or Colombia in the quarter-finals of the World Cup after defeating Switzerland in a strangely compelling but untidy tie in St Petersburg.

Emil Forsberg struck the decisive blow midway through the second half with a shot that deflected off the luckless Manuel Akanji and left Yann Sommer stranded in the Swiss goal.

You might be aware that the World Cup is not the only big sporting tournament going on at the moment, with a little tournament in south west London taking place as well.

So we thought we'd challenge some five-a-side footballers to see how they would get on doing some of the fitness drills that a professional tennis player would...

World cup 2018: Marouane Fellaini header completes Belgium comeback

The general view in the Colombian media after England were confirmed as their opponents in the last 16 was 'at least it wasn't Belgium'.

Colombia's expectations were always to get out of the group stage and try to emulate the achievements of four years ago by reaching the quarter-finals.

"England are the favourites," said former Aston Villa midfielder Carlos Sanchez. "They are the ones who invented the game and they also have some top-quality players."

That is the view still shared by most Colombians - England perhaps have the edge, but Colombia stand a good chance and the draw could have been far crueller.

The sense of celebration would be great, and lord knows the country needs something to get behind at the minute. I’ll stop short of saying I want you to win it though…think that’s a bridge too far (I’m the opposite of a glory hunter in that sense)

An England fan in a Gascoigne Euro 96 shirt led my Metro carriage in a chorus of "It's coming home" on my journey to the stadium, much to the amusement of the Muscovites on board, who had to ask what it meant.

There may not be many Three Lions supporters here, especially compared to those backing Colombia, but the ones that have made the trip are making their presence felt in all the right ways.
