    Danny Murphy
    Former England midfielder

    What a 60 seconds!

Nacer Chadli just dragged his shot wide after brilliant play from Lukaku down the left-hand side and it's a bad miss from Thiago Silva. He didn't anticipate it.

Look at his face! He knows.

  2. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 7 mins

    Brazil 0-0 Belgium

Brazil get the first corner of the game and almost capitalise.

Neymar's corner is met by defender Thiago Silva around three yards out, but the Brazilian can only scoop an effort onto the post.

    How did he miss??

Belgium break to the other end through Romelu Lukaku trundling down the left and feeding to Nacer Chadli, who shoots narrowly wide from outside the area.

Marouane Fellaini already testing the patience of Serbian referee Milorad Mazic.

The Manchester United midfielder goes hurtling in to the back of Neymar and flattening the Brazil forward.

Mazic gives Fellaini a telling off but no yellow.

More surprisingly, no rolling around on the ground from Neymar. Good to see.

  4. 'Belgium playing a back four'published at 19:06 British Summer Time 6 July 2018

    Brazil 0-0 Belgium

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Belgium are playing a back four with a diamond in midfield, and two up front. Roberto Martinez has made changes in personnel along with a change in formation as well. They are also adapting in possession of the ball as well. Complicated stuff.

G: Brazil were everybody's second favourite team - before Neymar's antics that is...

Simon: I can only see a Belgium win here.

John: Literally no idea who I want to win. Probably Brasil, just to stop it turning into Euro 2018.

  6. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Brazil 0-0 Belgium

What makes this so enticing is the number of Premier League players in action.

11 in all between the two sides, plus one from the Championship.

Marouane Fellaini putting himself about early on, hacking ex-Liverpool man Philippe Coutinho down to the deck.

    No booking, just a free-kick.

  7. 'Neymar's antics won't be totally eliminated'published at 19:04 British Summer Time 6 July 2018

    Brazil 0-0 Belgium

    Tim Vickery
BBC Sport South American football expert

Neymar does divide opinion in Brazil and I think he sees football as a non-contact sport. We might see it as diving but he genuinely thinks he has been fouled. I don't think his antics will totally be eliminated but he is a yellow card away from missing the semi-final.

Brazil superstar Neymar involved for the first time, but his cross from the left-edge of the box is bread and butter for Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

  9. '16 or 17 game changers'published at 19:03 British Summer Time 6 July 2018

    Brazil 0-0 Belgium

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

When you look at most games you think there are one or two main players who can change a game. But you look at today's teamsheet and there are 16 or 17 game changers. I can't wait to see it. I hope the Belgians don't sit back, and I don't think they will.

  10. CLOSE!published at 2 mins

    Brazil 0-0 Belgium

Don't think Belgium are going to sit back, an early sighter for them.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne outmuscles club team-mate Fernandinho in the middle of the park and strides forward, but scuffs his 25-yard effort wide.

There was no-one closing him down there, should have done better.

  11. 'We can expect lots of attacking play'published at 19:01 British Summer Time 6 July 2018

    Brazil 0-0 Belgium

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

I think we can expect an exciting game with lots of attacking play. Brazil only know one way and that is to attack, and with Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku on the other side, there is plenty attacking prowess there as well.

Vincent Kompany and Toby Alderweireld are good players but there is not much pace there and they will need all of the help they can get against Neymar. I can see what Roberto Martinez is doing by bringing in Nacer Chadli and Marouane Fellaini because it shores things up and allows Kevin de Bruyne to play higher up the field.

  12. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 min

Strap yourselves in, this should be a belter.

    Under way in Kazan.

    Pat Nevin

We have been waiting for this for a long time. These are the two most exciting sides in international football. I can't imagine this will be a dull game because both sides like to attack.

Not every goalie in the world can boast a World Cup winner warming up. This is the case with Brazil’s Alisson, whose coach in the national team is 1994 winner and two-time finalist Claudio Taffarel.

  17. 'Everyone expects us to make the semi-final'published at 18:53 British Summer Time 6 July 2018

    Brazil v Belgium (19:00 BST)

    Kristof Terreur
Belgian football journalist in Russia on BBC Radio 5 live

I think this is the best Belgium team that we have seen in many years. I like the way we play because it's entertaining. Everyone expects us to go through to the semi-final because we have to do better than the last World Cup when we lost to Argentina.

However, this Brazilian team is better than that Argentina team, so defeat would not be terrible.

  18. 'Look at the firepower'published at 18:50 British Summer Time 6 July 2018

    Brazil v Belgium (19:00 GMT)

    Jurgen Klinsmann
Former Germany head coach on BBC One

It will be one of the most exciting games at the World Cup. Look at the firepower in each team. We will get goals tonight.

I feel that Neymar is going to step it up because he knows how to change gear. A player like him maybe has seven gears and he is currently only playing in fifth.

Anon: Not really the last 5 years but Xavi surely deserved the Balon d'Or. A supremely gifted midfielder who won the lot.

William: David de Gea, he's single handed saved some mediocre United performances and even whole seasons

CelebCelery: Was impressed by Gabriel Jesus when he first rocked up at Man City but since his injury he's looked average and pretty anonymous. Think he's lucky to keep his place in front of Firmino.
