Mr Robot: Hazard. Another player who doesnt get free kicks because refs are wised up to his theatrics

Damien: What's happened to VAR these days? Blatant foul on Hazard.

Ryan: If that’s not a foul, then why isn’t Hazard being booked for “diving” ?

Eden Hazard and Blaise Matuidi clattered into each other as Axel Witsel hit that shot. A stretcher is called for, bit of a stoppage as the France fans do 'the Poznan.'

I've been to Poznan. Lovely place.

Good save by the goalkeeper, but to be fair if Lloris had not saved it it would have been a piece of poor goalkeeping.

Get hold of that! What a strike by Axel Witsel, fizzing through the air with loads of bend on it and pushed away by Thibuat Courtois.

A save he should really make, but at this stage of a World Cup semi-final a very good one.

Eden Hazard is tripped by Olivier Giroud, in a dangerous area. Oh hang on he's not given it! Clear foul surely?

Giroud tells his Chelsea team-mate to get up. Looked like a foul.

Belgium send on Yannick Carrasco for Maroune Fellaini.

France have looked very solid since taking the lead. There is a feeling in some quarters that Didier Deschamps is too defensinve and conservative and while there may be some (a lot) of truth in that, once they get ahead they are hard to stop.

Belgium with 64% of possession but a plane ticket home at this rate. Although they will play again regardless. The old 3rd/4th place play-off on Saturday awaits.

Let's have a Belgium goal then. Because:

    1. The World Cup is almost over and I don't want it to end. The more the merrier. And
    2. IF England were to win tomorrow night and actually reach the World Cup final they may as well face a tired outfit, eh?

Such beautiful ignorance in that stereotyping Simon. Absolutely first class. In your head, centre-halves with garlic bulbs around each neck and a baguette in each hand.

    Superb.

The problem with chasing the game against France is that they can score from inside their own half in a flash. One bad touch allows Kylian Mbappe to fly away down the right, Kevin de Bruyne tries to kneecap him but can't get a touch on him he's so quick. He comes left to Antoine Griezmann, who goes one more to Olivier Giroud and he slams it over.

Mbappe, just keep it mate. Run yourself.
