As can be construed from all the nail biting going on all around, Aston Villa still haven't got their place at Wembley booked yet.

But, if they do somehow make it back to the Premier League, their fans certainly sound up for the challenge.

The traditional cry of "Villa, Villa, Villa, Villa..." to the tune of Amazing Grace just now was right back up to the Holte End's decibel levels of the past.

Not yet. The cross is too low and is cleared at the near post by Boro's Britt Assombalonga.

Villa press high and force Middlesbrough to play it all the way back to their keeper Darren Randolph. That gets the home fans going.

Moments later though, at the other end, Muhamed Besic drills a low shot wide for Boro. That's a half chance, from the edge of the area.

In the play-offs' current format, none of the previous 15 second-tier teams who won their first leg of a semi-final away from home have then failed to reach the final.

However, only six of those 15 teams went on to win promotion.

So I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad omen for Villa.

But there's some pushing in the middle as the corner is swung in to the area, so Villa have a free-kick and will clear their lines.
