Rotherham are deservedly in front - so what do Shrewsbury need to do to turn the tide at the national stadium?

Can Shrewsbury mount a comeback after the break?

Shrewsbury get a free-kick 30 yards out for a late challenge by goalscorer Richard Wood on Carlton Morris.

The ref played advantage before bringing it back. No card for the Millers skipper though.

Into two minutes of injury time, as Shrews midfielder Bryn Morris has a shot at goal charged down.

Shrewsbury left-back Omar Beckles bursts forward down the flank and puts a threatening ball into the Rotherham box.

But Semi Ajayi just about does enough to deal with it and clear away.

Closing in on half-time and the Millers are taking the sting out of the game with a couple of throw-ins.

Richie Towell then attempts an ambitious dipping half-volley from about 30 yards out, but it goes over the bar.

Rotherham’s opener probably says everything about the close attention given to Richard Wood by Omar Beckles at the Millers’ previous set-pieces.

The first time he got him in a neck hold, he gave away the penalty.

The second time, when he did the same, Beckles was lucky that the ref let it go.

This time, Beckles allowed Wood to make his run from deep, couldn’t lay a glove on him and the result was a goal.

Shrewsbury striker Carlton Morris gets the ball in the box from a ball from Jon Nolan, but there is very little support and his attempted cut-back is cut out by Semi Ajayi.

Toto Nsiala misses his header from a long throw, the ball bounces just outside in the six yard box and Alex Rodman has to turn it behind for a Rotherham corner.

Shrewsbury managed to scramble the set-piece away.

A second Shrewsbury man goes into the book, as James Bolton puts in a late challenge on Joe Newell about 12 yards inside the Town half.

It will be interesting to see how Shrewsbury react to going behind, as the team who finished third are yet to test Millers keeper Marek Rodak.

That was a fantastic goal from another rehearsed set-play. No one has picked Richard Wood up for a thunderous header. He's had so much space to run into and the ball was fantastic. Joe Newell's corners have been fantastic, to be fair.

The goal has come in Shrewsbury's best passage of play. Town had been on top for five or 10 minutes and Carlton Morris was so close to putting that ball in at the back post.

They'd just had just had a decent five-minute spell where they've enjoyed possession but you can't say that Rotherham's lead isn't a deserved one.

Shrewsbury are really rowing into this now.

Alex Rodman puts in a great inswinging cross from the left hand side, and Carlton Morris flicks a header a few yards past the far post.

Marek Rodak was scrambling to his left then and unsure where that one would drop.

Shrewsbury have started to put a few passing moves together, but are yet to seriously threaten Mark Rodak's goal.

Town can't quite make their mark in the final third, but have just won a corner after Bryn Morris' low cross was blocked.

The first booking of the afternoon, as Shrewsbury winger Shaun Whalley gets a caution for sending his forearm into the face of Joe Mattock.

The Town man is a bit lucky - that looked nasty and could have easily been red.

Shrewsbury keeper Dean Henderson does enough to claim the corner at the second attempt, and looks to get a move going from the back.

David Ball has a sight of goal, but his half-volley strikes the face of Ben Godfrey and deflects wide for a corner to the Millers.

A brilliant ball through by David Ball finds Jon Taylor in space on the right, but the flag is up against the Rotherham winger.

That was a close call.
