So that's Croatia 1998 and Argentina 1986 gone. Farewell too to Wales 1958 and Republic of Ireland 1990.
Fair to call Colombia's 1990 away jersey the surprise quarter-finalist?

England 1966 (away) v Italy 1990

grimboid: Hand the trophy over to Lothar Matthaus now, the 1990 West Germany home kit is one of the all time classics! You want proof? It’s so good Germany have reimagined it for this years tournament!
This year's...
But will they make the quarter-finals? We'll know in five minutes...
About 400 fans turned out at Argentina's World Cup base camp in Bronnitsy, southeast of Moscow, to watch Lionel Messi and his team-mates at an open training session.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner then took time out to sign autographs.
What a hero!
Aside from our World Cup of Kits fun, we have a nice little quiz for you to play:
Can you name all the countries to have hosted at least one World Cup?
You've got two minutes to name them all.

Denmark 1986 all the way. Its only equal was Coventry City’s sky blue version - surely they could have used each other’s kits as the away option?!

On a historic day for the United States and North Korea, let's have a look at two kits that didn't make the cut for our World Cup of Kits...
North Korea made Middlesbrough's Ayresome Park their home back in 1966 during their first World Cup campaign - they played three matches there. They actually topped their group and reached the quarter-finals that year only to be knocked out 5-3 by Eusebio and the boys.
Their home kit was a red V-neck and the away kit was white.
We'll pit the red kit against the USA's diagonal stripe kit from 1950.
It was the country's third appearance in the competition but they failed to progress past the group stage. However, they did manage a shock 1-0 win over an England side that featured Billy Wright, Wilf Mannion, Tom Finney and Stan Mortensen.
The equivalent would be a modern-day England team losing to Iceland - as if!

That's pretty random. Reminds me of the time a university housemate told me they knew the actual Uncle Ben of rice fame. I can't prove they're lying but I have my doubts...
The round of 16 is over - you cannot pick your favourites anymore.
In half an hour, we'll let you know the quarter-finalists - and then at 14:00 BST we will begin it.

Harry Crawford: Outrageous that the Peru 1978 kit was knocked out of the #WorldCupOfKits! One of the all-time best football shirts
I know Harry, I agree. This year's Peru jersey is my favourite of the 32 in Russia as well...
