Phil Smith: James Milner has been consistent and skilful for many years. Having watched him at Leeds and Villa, the pleasure of watching him at City and then seeing him compete for a deserved regular place at Liverpool - not many have sustained this in modern era.
Hilton Harvey: I’m a big Milner fan. He’s a great club player. Top class. But not international. He would not have been the answer against Croatia.
