"We had Javier Manquillo who was injured and then Hayden came in and got sent off so we had too many problems. In the end to get a point, it could be better, but we can not complain too much."

On Hayden's sending off: "There are a lot of things I would like to analyse but I do not want to talk about the referee."

On Kenedy's miss: "It was a poor penalty, he's not happy he missed a good chance. We win as a team and lose as a team, I am not concerned about the fact he missed a penalty, he has to take responsibility."

On Kenedy's kick out in the first-half: "There are a lot of things I see, but I can not say too much."

Cardiff City

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock on Match of the Day: "I don't think the lads deserved to lose with a penalty like that.

"Kenedy was a lucky lad [when he kicked out]. There is stuff to work on for us - we were disappointing with our free-kicks.

"No disrespect but having watched Birmingham last night thank goodness we came out to a full house to play Newcastle in the Premier League."

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock on Sky Sports: "Sometimes you don't get what you deserve. The lad Kenedy shouldn't have been on the pitch. It was straight red, but I never saw it.

"Regarding the penalty, Morrison's hand is outside the box and his body is inside.

"Regarding the penalty miss, I thought it was poetic justice.

"I've not seen Hayden's challenge on Murphy back yet. In all fairness to Craig Pawson I didn't see the kick out by Kenedy."

Newcastle United

"Kenedy was the designated penalty taker. First it was Matt Ritchie [who came off] but then it was Kenedy."

Asked about the referee on the red card and Harry Arter's challenge: "I don't want to talk about the referee.

"We knew this game on paper you can be fighting with them. It's a pity with 10 players - you can't complain about the workrate.

"We had problems at the beginning, but we still had two clear chances."

Cardiff City

Cardiff goalkeeper Neil Etheridge to Sky Sports: "We could have won it, but with a penalty in the last minute I will take a point and be happy to move onto next week.

"We don't want that to become a regular occurrence [conceding and saving a penalty], but we deserved at least a point. We knew we would have a chance at home and needed to get points on the board.

"It is not easy to step up in the 90th minute and take a penalty, but today I came out victorious."

For Kenedy he struggled today, he didn't complete a pass in the first half. Sometimes as a player when things are not going your way you think "I'll step up and score to get me on my way", but that didn't happen for him today.

Everyone! He had a nightmare from start to finish.

Cardiff City's first Premier League point will feel like a victory.

I can hardly ever remember seeing a worse individual performance than Kenedy's though. A game he will want to forget in a hurry.
