    Cardiff v Newcastle (12:30 BST)

    Match of the Day commentator

Whatever the outcome this season, Cardiff City are going to try to enjoy the Premier League ride. They will certainly savour their first home game back in the top flight, a prospect which looked fairly unlikely for most for most of the last four years.

They will be determined to win too. If they are to maintain last season's theme of defying the odds then they need results at home. Their last stay yielded only five victories at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Equally, Newcastle will see this as an opportunity to get off the mark as they look for an 11th consecutive league win over their opponents. Victory would inject some much-needed positivity into the Tyneside air.

West Ham v Bournemouth (15:00 BST)

West Ham could give debuts to more of their summer signings with forward Lucas Perez and Colombian midfielder Carlos Sanchez in contention.

Long-term absentees Manuel Lanzini, Winston Reid and Andy Carroll remain out in an otherwise fully-fit squad.

Club-record signing Jefferson Lerma could make his bow for Bournemouth but fellow new arrival Diego Rico is suspended because of his final-day dismissal in La Liga last season.

    Junior Stanislas is still sidelined.

    Tottenham v Fulham (15:00 BST)

Tottenham midfielders Erik Lamela, Harry Winks and Josh Onomah have returned to training but are unlikely to feature this weekend.

Forward Son Heung-min is away with South Korea at the Asian Games.

Fulham defenders Tim Ream and Alfie Mawson are out with respective thigh and knee injuries, while Denis Odoi is suspended.

Left-back Joe Bryan should be available despite being forced off with an ankle problem against Crystal Palace.

    Leicester v Wolves (15:00 BST)

Leicester will again be without Japanese forward Shinji Okazaki, who only recently resumed training after a post-World Cup break.

Midfielder Matty James is out with an Achilles injury, while new signing Caglar Soyuncu is not match fit.

Wolves could hand a debut to club-record signing Adama Traore, but Belgian midfielder Leander Dendoncker will not be included.

Winger Ivan Cavaleiro remains sidelined by a troublesome back issue.

  10. Early team newspublished at 10:35 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Everton v Southampton (15:00 BST)

Everton forward Richarlison, who scored twice on his debut against Wolves, is available after being taken off because of cramp in that match.

Phil Jagielka begins a three-game ban and could be replaced by Chelsea loanee Kurt Zouma, as £27.2m summer signing Yerry Mina has been ruled out.

Mohamed Elyounoussi is a major doubt for Southampton because of a tight hamstring.

Scottish midfielder Stuart Armstrong has recovered from a knock.

Striker Danny Ings featured as a substitute last weekend and could start his first game for Saints.

  11. Early team newspublished at 10:31 British Summer Time 18 August 2018

    Cardiff v Newcastle (12:30 BST)

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock may rotate his forward options after his side failed to register a shot on target against Bournemouth last weekend.

Kenneth Zohore, who scored nine goals in the Championship last season, is nearing a return from a groin injury and could start.

DeAndre Yedlin is a doubt for Newcastle after the right-back sustained a knee injury in the home defeat by Tottenham.

Javier Manquillo may deputise for him.

Does anybody have Zohore as their third Fantasy striker?

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock and Newcastle counterpart Rafael Benitez meet once more today - it's been 11 years since Benitez played a weakened Liverpool XI against Fulham, who were relegation rivals of Warnock's Sheffield United.

Fulham beat Liverpool 1-0, and the Blades eventually went down. Warnock, let's say, was not happy with the Spaniard.

Anyway, we want to know about your long-running feuds -
