Peter: I'm fated with this fantasy football malarkey - I initially had Jagielka (red carded) - I was sure Foden or Mahrez would play today with De Bruyne being out and I also picked Sane - I'm going to pick all the top players who are due to play Newcastle from now on !

Man City v Huddersfield (13:30 BST)

    • Manchester City's last home league goals against Huddersfield came in a 10-1 victory in the old second division in November 1987. Paul Stewart, David White and Tony Adcock all scored hat-tricks.
    • City have failed to score in four successive home league matches against the Terriers. They have never gone five league games at home without scoring against a particular opponent.
    • Pep Guardiola's City side had a total of just seven shots on target against Huddersfield last season, fewer than they managed against any other Premier League side.

There has been talk from Pep Guardiola in the week about playing John Stones in midfield. He has the quality and Fernandinho can play right back.

They have such quality, they can play a number of positions and it doesn’t weaken the side. He might try Stones in midfield, this would be a perfect opportunity to give that a go.

Huddersfield can cite May's 0-0 draw at the Etihad as reason to believe they can get something from this fixture again, but - as against Chelsea last weekend - these are very different circumstances to face the champions in.

The Terriers were tentative in their opener, whilst City won at Arsenal with an easy style and gears still to go into.

They won without Kevin de Bruyne for the most part too - something they'll have to get used to for a while, but something that shouldn't affect the outcome here.

I'd love to see David Wagner send Huddersfield out to have a real go, but he knows that way even more trouble lies.

Matt: That City team is the reason I only have one City player in my Fantasy side. No real guaranteed starters - no Sterling, Walker, Sane or Mahrez?!

Tim: I swapped De Bruyne for Mooy in my fantasy team this week, as I rate him very highly and if anyone can score against City for Huddersfield, it's him. How was I supposed to know his wife would go into labour?

Cruel and funny - and educational.

  11. 'Huddersfield have not spent enough'published at 13:03 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

Man City v Huddersfield (13:30 BST)

    Paul Ince
Former MK Dons manager on Football Focus

When I look at what Huddersfield have done in the market, I’m not sure whether they have spent enough. When you look at the likes of Wolves and Fulham spending a lot of money I don’t feel they have done that.

They have brought in one or two, I thought Terence Kongolo, who signed from Monaco last year is a very good player. But you know Huddersfield don’t score a lot of goals, we saw that last season. So defensively they are going to have to be tight.

  12. 'Bernardo Silva can replace De Bruyne'published at 13:01 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

Man City v Huddersfield (13:30 BST)

    Paul Ince
Former MK Dons manager on Football Focus

Bernardo Silva can do what Kevin de Bruyne does. He didn’t get a lot of game time last year apart from coming off the bench, but this is an opportunity for him to come in and show he can replace a world class player like De Bruyne.

  13. Ince's thoughtspublished at 13:00 British Summer Time 19 August 2018

    Burnley v Watford (13:30 BST)

I fancy the Clarets to edge this one, if they take their chances.

Watford are very inconsistent, but I still feel there will be plenty of teams below them come the end of the season.

If a goalless draw away to Southampton was a fairly subdued start to Burnley's Premier League season, their early efforts on the European stage have been very encouraging.

Four Europa League ties have brought two wins at Turf Moor and two draws on their travels. Now the Clarets are just one step away from the group stage.

Sean Dyche will relish the challenge of battling on two fronts but domestic matters remain his priority. He certainly won't underestimate Watford.

The Hornets' slump last season prompted many to consider them as relegation candidates but an emphatic opening day win over Brighton as renewed optimism at Vicarage Road.

    Burnley v Watford (13:30 BST)

Burnley manager Sean Dyche rotated his squad for his side's Europa League qualifier second-leg against Istanbul Basaksehir on Thursday night, making six changes, but he reverts to the same starting 11 that drew with Southampton in the Premier League last weekend.

Joe Hart, Jeff Hendrick and Stephen Ward all played the full 120 minutes on Thursday and start today.

Burnley XI: Hart, Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Ward, Lennon, Westwood, Cork, Gudmundsson, Hendrick, Wood.

Watford travel to Turf Moor looking to end a run of 12 away league games without a win. They're unchanged following a comfortable victory over Brighton in their season opener.

Watford XI: Foster, Janmaat, Cathcart, Kabasele, Holebas, Hughes, Doucoure, Capoue, Pereyra, Deeney, Gray.

Manchester City make three changes as David Silva, Vincent Kompany and Gabriel Jesus come in.

Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Kyle Walker all drop to the bench as boss Pep Guardiola appears to want to mix things up a bit.

Huddersfield also make three changes but those look to be enforced because of injury.

Defender Mathias Jorgensen picked up a knock in training and he is replaced by Jon Goren Stankovic while Jonathon Hogg and influential midfielder Aaron Mooy are also not in the squad - Mooy missing out because his wife is in labour. Tommy Smith and Abdelhamid Sabiri are the players to come in.
