    Hamilton Academical 1-1 Hearts

Only a flying, last-ditch lunge from John Souttar prevents Accies going back in front.

Darren Lyon sets up Rakish Bingham just inside the penalty box, but it deflects off Souttar's foot and flies just over the crossbar.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:40 British Summer Time 4 August 2018

    St Mirren 1-1 Dundee

  3. Hearts chapping at doorpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 4 August 2018

    Hamilton Academical 1-1 Hearts

    Another opportunity missed by Hearts.

Steven MacLean was always dropped for games on artificial surfaces when with St Johnstone but shows he can play on them perfectly well with a superb crossfield pass that finds Steven Naismith unmarked around the penalty spot.

However, the Scotland striker's poor control takes him away from goal and, although he finds Uche Ikpeazu in front of goal, Darren Lyon does well to block the big Englishman's shot on the turn.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:39 British Summer Time 4 August 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 St Johnstone

It's been a turgid old battle at Rugby Park so far, but a moment of quality almost produces the opening goal.

Alan Power plays a neat one-two with Lee Erwin on the edge of the Saints box and his powerful drive is tipped over by Zander Clark.

We've seen teams come here and park the bus, sometimes it works but when you have the movement and quality that Celtic have then it's a very dangerous ploy.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:31 British Summer Time 4 August 2018

    Dundee 1-1 St Mirren

Here come the home side again and goalkeeper Jack Hamilton beats Paul McGinn's fierce drive out for a St Mirren corner.

  8. Great chance for Heartspublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 4 August 2018

    Hamilton Academical 1-1 Hearts

Having come from behind, Hearts should now be ahead, with winger Callumn Morrison squandering an excellent chance.

Steven Naismith is the creator again, but the 19-year-old slices wide from 15 yards.

Now that's a counter attack. From Livingston's corner kick, Celtic break upfield through James Forrest then Olivier Ntcham, and the latter sets up Odsonne Edouard for the second goal with a simple tap-in at the back post.

Livingston are chasing shadows here at Celtic Park. The champions are doing their best to keep the tempo up but it has a training game feel after that early Tom Rogic goal.

  12. Veterans Anderson and Boyd still going strongpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 4 August 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 St Johnstone

    John Barnes
    BBC Scotland at Rugby Park

St Johnstone have the experienced Steven Anderson at the heart of a three man central defence with Liam Gordon and Jason Kerr either side. They are looking to thwart the Kris Boyd and Lee Erwin Killie strike partnership.

Saints wearing a change strip this season which looks like the Hearts maroon kit.

  13. CLOSE!published at 15:21 British Summer Time 4 August 2018

    St Mirren 1-1 Dundee

Matty Willock just cannot keep his header down after great work on the wing from Kyle Magennis.

Moments later, Cammy Smith fires just wide of the Dundee goal.

St Mirren on top at the moment.

GOAL Hamilton 1-1 Heartspublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 4 August 2018

    Peter Haring

Accies' lead only lasts three minutes.

Goalkeeper Gary Woods superbly tips a Christophe Berra header over the crossbar, but from Hearts' second corner in quick succession, Steven Naismith's chip finds Peter Haring at the back post and the Austrian loops his header into the far corner.

  20. Early kick-off, cracking startpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 4 August 2018

    St Mirren 1-1 Dundee

    Jonathan Sutherland
BBC Sport Scotland at the Simple Digital Arena

The atmosphere was crackling here right from the start as the hosts unfurled the Championship flag. That unfurling didn’t take as long as we thought and as a result this match kicked off five minutes early.

Two goals in 12 minutes has certainly got the fans going. The Premiership is off to a fantastic start in Paisley.
