  1. Cheers for nowpublished at 17:23 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

Our radio coverage is switching to the swimming and I definitely can't keep up with Scotland's Duncan Scott, who is an absolute rocket in the pool, so I'll stop here.

We'll get reaction from Hibs boss Neil Lennon later.

Join us again on Wednesday when Celtic meet AEK Athens in Champions League qualifying.

  2. Can Hibs keep back-to-back clean sheets?published at 17:17 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

So how will Hibs fare against Norwegian side Molde on Thursday?

    Quote Message

Easter Road will be rocking on Thursday. There won't be many empty seats. The home leg is so important and Hibs need to play with tempo and energy - they also need to keep the door locked at the back

  3. Free-kick award angers Robinsonpublished at 17:12 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    FT: Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson speaks so quickly it's hard to keep up... but here goes.

He's definitely not happy with the free-kick from Stevie Mallan that was given after Peter Hartley was penalised for blocking a shot with his arm.

"I'm disappointed with the scoreline. There was nothing in the game until an incredible decision changes the game. Our defending for the second is poor, we know that. And then we are chasing things when the third goes in.

"Hibs are a good side but I don't think there's a lot in that game until that 10 minute spell at the end of the first half.

"We showed bravery in the second half and had good chances to score. Another handball decision goes against us. The boys didn't let their heads go down."

  4. Hibs 'a joy to watch'published at 17:07 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    FT: Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

    Jim Duffy
BBC Sportsound summariser at Easter Road

Hibs are a joy to watch. They play on the front foot, they go after teams. It's entertaining football and it's winning football.

They've sold 13,500 season tickets and they might just shift a few more.

  5. A capital weekend for the capital sidespublished at 17:02 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

It's Hearts and Hibs at the top of the Premiership pile after the opening weekend of the season, with champions Celtic, Kilmarnock and St Mirren also picking up maximum points.

There's a long way to go but it's been a fine start, with thrills and spills aplenty. Another 37 games to go for each team...

  6. What next?published at 16:59 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    FT: Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Hibs are back at Easter Road on Thursday, with Molde the visitors in Europa League qualifying. Then it's a trip to Perth and a showdown with St Johnstone next Sunday.

Motherwell will need a big improvement for their derby against Hamilton Accies at Fir Park on Saturday.

  7. Postpublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    FT: Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

High praise from a former Hibee...

  8. FULL-TIME Hibernian 3-0 Motherwellpublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

The vast majority in an impressive crowd of 17,494 go away happy as Hibs start the season with a comfortable three points.

Stevie Mallan got the ball rolling with a smart free kick, Oli Shaw squeezed the second in from close range and Martin Boyle added a cracking third after the break.

Motherwell kept going to their credit once the hosts had taken their foot off the gas and Danny Johnson can count himself unlucky not to have scored.

  9. Postpublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

It's just not happening for lively Motherwell replacement Danny Johnson, who turns smartly on the edge of the box and hammers in a shot. Adam Bogdan is able to parry and Curtis Main, who is offside anyway, can only head the loose ball against the outside of the post from six yards.

  10. Postpublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Here come Hibs, with Danny Swanson tearing through the middle. He tries to thread through his fellow substitute Vykintas Slivka but the ball clips the heel of the Lithuanian and the chance is gone.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Danny Johnson finally hits the net but it won't count since a ricochet sent the ball against his arm before the Motherwell substitute got his shot away.

A tad harsh but Bobby Madden's whistle had gone before the final touch.

Johnson has certainly done a lot more than Curtis Main and Connor Sammon since coming on and will be very unlucky not to start next time.

  12. YELLOW CARD Martin Boyle (Hibernian)published at 16:42 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

A silly booking for Martin Boyle, who trips and opponent in the middle of the park. Cynical and wholly unnecessary.

  13. Postpublished at 16:40 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Danny Johnson is still looking for a consolation goal and he really should be on the scoresheet by now as he races clear but can't get his shot past the advancing Adam Bogdan.

  14. Postpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Another substitution, another rapturous round of applause. This time it's John McGinn going off and Danny Swanson coming on.

Will we see McGinn in Hibs colours on Thursday - the day the transfer window closes down south?

Who knows? Maybe the Edinburgh side will keep the dynamic 23-year-old for the final year of his contract.

  15. Postpublished at 16:37 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Jamie Maclaren gets a glimpse of goal as he runs on to a perfectly weighted pass from Oli Shaw but the striker's angled shot is beaten away by Motherwell keeper Trevor Carson.

  16. CLOSE!published at 16:35 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Danny Johnson is not letting those angry looks from Chris Cadden get to him as he shows good determination to wriggle past three opponents on the edge of the box and sends a skidding shot narrowly wide.

  17. Postpublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Chris Cadden is still glaring daggers at Motherwell team-mate Danny Johnson since he was free in front of an empty goal when the second chance was missed.

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Danny Johnson can't believe his luck as his angled shot from the edge of the box whizzes past Adam Bogdan and slams back off the inside of the post. The rebound comes back to the Motherwell substitute who rounds the grounded Bogdan but the second attempt is blocked by a sliding Paul Hanlon.

  19. Postpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

A moment of concern for Hibs as Efe Ambrose goes down clutching his knee. Manager Neil Lennon looks on from his perch in the main stand. He won't want to lose a key player before Thursday's Europa League showdown with Molde.

The Nigerian has a wee breather by the sideline and jogs back on.

  20. Postpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time 5 August 2018

    Hibernian 3-0 Motherwell

Another goal and Hibs will take over from city rivals Hearts at the top of the table on this opening weekend. Surely that will provide the motivation to grab another over the closing stages?
