"Fulham turned up here today planning to take things to City with momentum on the flanks, but sadly the early goal knocked the stuffing out of them.

"And the two Silvas in the middle of the host's midfield have been superb."

  2. CLOSE!published at 16:40 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Man City 3-0 Fulham

This time Gabriel Jesus decides not to shoot and he lays it off to Bernardo Silva. The City midfielder has so much room in the middle of the box and all he has to do is slip it either side of the keeper but he somehow manages to hoof it over the bar.

    Should have made it 4-0.

I think this is the beginning of the end for Claude Puel. No doubt his first sentence in his post match interview will be, "I thought we played well......".

GOAL - Chelsea 3-1 Cardiffpublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Eden Hazarrd (80 mins) (pen)

That's the hat-trick! Eden Hazard sends Neil Etheridge the wrong way. A superb way to round off another impressive display.

  5. CLOSE!published at 16:38 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Huddersfield 0-1 Crystal Palace

Palace go close to a second.

Aaron Mooy's freekick hits the wall and it ends up with Wilfried Zaha.

He travels 40 yards before rolling the ball through to Andros Townsend, but the winger's effort on goal goes over the bar.

  6. PENALTY TO CHELSEApublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Chelsea 2-1 Cardiff

Willian is scythed down in the box by Sol Bamba. Clear as muck.

    Adam Smith (81 mins)

There it is! The fourth has been coming. Ryan Fraser's cut-back is settled by Adam Smith as the home side counter. A lovely crisp finish.

    Newcastle 0-2 Arsenal

As it stands, Newcastle are heading towards their worst ever start in the Premier League. They will have just one point from their opening five games unless they can produce a miraculous turn around.

    Chelsea 2-1 Cardiff

Willian's on for Chelsea now and almost his first intervention is to scythe down Joe Bennett. Cardiff launch their deep free-kick towards the box, but the home side fence it away.

Will the Blues hang on? Just over ten minutes to go.

Has anyone seen Gabriel Jesus' shooting boots?

Because he's not wearing them today. Another effort flies way over the bar.

It's still fairly feisty at the John Smith's. Luka Milivojevic is on the floor now and the physio is on the pitch with his magic spray.

Don't think the visitors are in any rush here.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:34 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Bournemouth 3-0 Leicester

It should be four! Joshua King is denied by Kasper Schmeichel, just the faintest of fingertips to turn round the post after the Bournemouth striker broke clear. Great run, but no dice with the finish.

Michael Haimes: Not sure what Huddersfield have got to do to score here. Last year we’d have been ahead with the same chances. Seriously hoping some scientists somewhere succeed in disproving second season syndrome soon.

    Chelsea 2-1 Cardiff

Nice touches from Ross Barkley to evade a few Cardiff challenges and hold possession in the middle. That's pretty much all that Chelsea have been doing for the past 15 minutes - holding on to it. Looks like they don't want to risk too much, although to be fair to them Cardiff are digging in.

Subs: Gomes, Mariappa, Success, Masina, Sema, Chalobah, Femenia.

Jose Mourinho makes one change to the side that beat Burnley, as Ashley Young comes in for Luke Shaw, who suffered a head injury while on England duty.

Manchester United starting XI: De Gea; Young, Lindelof, Smalling, Valencia; Matic, Fellaini, Pogba; Sanchez, Lukaku, Lingard.

Subs: Grant, Bailly, Mata, Martial, Fred, Darmian, McTominay.

I feel sorry for Rafa as he has been handed the worst start of the Premier League season playing against Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Man City in the first 5 games and with no money for players needed to win those sorts of games.

    Huddersfield 0-1 Crystal Palace

Free-kick for the hosts in a nice area. Might be a bit too far out for Aaron Mooy...

It is. And now Palace can break!

James McArthur takes the ball into the box but he's closed down quickly and is under pressure when he shoots. It doesn't trouble the keeper and sails over for a goalkick.

The thing that strikes me is when you see someone like Gundogan come on, you realise Man City's strength in depth in midfield. De Bruyne isn't here today, young Phil Foden is on the bench and there's also Mahrez.

I don't think we've ever seen a squad like it in the history of the Premier League...
