Huddersfield manager David Wagner speaking to Sky Sports: "You don't always get what you deserve. This was our best performance of the season. We created so many good opportunities. We absolutely dominated the control of the game but didn't use our opportunities and were unlucky for sure.

"Performance-wise it was very good but the result of course, is frustrating. If we perform like we did again then we know we will get the points. We controlled the game defensively and limited them. They had one magic moment from Wilfried Zaha but we should have defended better. We have seen goals like this from him before. This situation decided the game and that makes it even more frustrating.

"In the last three games we have looked very solid and like we can create something. The result wasn't good but we will have another opportunity to make it better. The mood is frustrated at the minute."

Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield captain Christopher Schindler: "I think we deserved more than this. We played a really good game and had a lot of opportunities but weren't able to score.

"You can always do more but you have to accept he is a world class player. I don't know what the problem is. We had so many opportunities but we have to hit the target.

"If you don't hit the target we can't score. We have to be focused. We played so well today and we have nothing in our hands after the game.

"We worked on our delivery in pre-season. It worked quite well over the first few games but we have no end product and that is the most important thing. All of us expected more from the first four games. We know it is not a great start. We have to believe in ourselves and go on."

Manchester City

Man City's Fabian Delph speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It's nice to get going again after the World Cup - we only got 12 days off. I've been working to get fit and get up to speed, and after 70 minutes today I'm on track to getting back to full fitness.

"I felt like I won most of my duels and I was communicating well with the rest of the team. I couldn't get my feet sorted at times! But that will come with more match time and fitness.

"It was frustrating to not put more chances into the ball of the net - we need to be more ruthless. We knew Fulham could be a threat - they have been impressive already this season. But we started with the mindset that we needed to be on the front foot. We try to do that in every game."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace goalscorer Wilfried Zaha speaking to MOTD: "I was happy we managed to win. That is the main thing.

"I had one thing in my mind when I went on my run. I don't think we had many shots but I managed to connect with it well and scored.

"We are a team. Without them I wouldn't be able to do what I do. If I manage to score for them, I do for the team.

"I feel like I'd have to get my leg broken for anyone to get a card. That's why I lose my head. Why am I getting different trreatment from other players? It is every week. I don't know what to say.

"I don't know. I have tried to speak to the referees. there's nothing I can do any more. It is hard. It doesn't make you want to go on a run because someone will come through the back of you and it doesn't allow you to express yourself. At the same time, I have to let my feet do the talking which I did today."

Good performance?: "Not really. A difficult start, especially the first 20 minutes. After that it was good, a good second half and an important 3 points.

On an important win: "We know it is an important week, four games at home now and we won two away more than last year so happy to win today.

Arsenal

On making his 200th Arsenal appearance: "Really, 200? I'm happy but most important we take the three points. Congratulations to the whole team, we played well. Newcastle were good, aggressive. We showed our passion and took the points.

On his manager: "I am very happy to play for Arsenal and especially for the new coach. He knows what he wants and the team accepts that, we have a good relationship. We score and we are happy, even the players that don’t play, we are all team."

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson: "We played well throughout the game but as you go into that last 15 minutes with a one goal margin you are always worried. We had a stroke of fortune when their shot hit the post but we controlled the game. We have a win and that is the most important thing.

On Wilfried Zaha: "He was a constant threat. I thought he was close to scoring more than one goal. But it is nice that he is the match winner and that is was such a good goal. I am sure it will be one of the better goals of the week.

"He worries the opposition. His pace and ability on the ball gives us that constant threat. He is adding goals to his game now but we need to start chipping in with goals from other people otherwise we rely o him too much.

"The first two games in particular we played really well despite getting defeats. I thought we were back to the form we showed against Fulham and Liverpool today because we rely heavily on our shape and formation."

Chelsea's 4-1 victory over Cardiff means they move top of the table, overtaking Liverpool on goal difference.

Manchester City move up a spot into third but Watford are still clinging on to that top four spot and will remain there at the end of today no matter what their result is against Manchester United.

Leroy Sane speaking to Premier League TV: "A fantastic week for me - I became a daddy this week! It was also a good game today and we won, we played a good game.

“I'm relaxed at the moment, I train hard and when the manager gives me an opportunity I show him what I can do. The next game on Wednesday is a really important game.”

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend: "It was a tough, tough game today. Huddersfield is always a difficult place to go as the fans get behind them.

"But today it was a bit of magic from Wilfried [Zaha] to make the difference. Always expect the unexpected from him. He can do anything with the ball and was great again today.

"We defended well, were resolute and didn't give up. We put our bodies on the line and deserved to get a result.

Whether Palace depend on Zaha too much: "That's for you to decide. He made the difference to score the goal but we defended well and it was a team effort.
