    Cardiff City 0-0 Manchester City

Leroy Sane's pace pulls the Cardiff defence all out of shape and, with Joe Bennett on the bench, he is able to get into position to cross.

There is no-one there to meet it though.

The breakthrough is slow coming. There has been just one shot on goal so far in the first 25 minutes.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:28 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

    Liverpool 2-0 Southampton

The Saints are still getting chances!

Trent Alexander-Arnold has to slide in at the back post to deny Matt Targett and diverts the ball away for a corner.

  3. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:27 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

DeAndre Yedlin catches Patrick van Aanholt on the edge of the area and Palace fans are screaming for a penalty.

It's not too far off but just outside.

  4. CLOSE!published at 15:26 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

    Leicester 1-1 Huddersfield

    Oh Jamie Vardy should score!

It's a set-piece out of the FIFA textbook. James Maddison chips the ball over the top of the wall on the free-kick and Jamie Vardy only has to touch it either side of the keeper.

Instead, he drags the volley and jumps up in frustration. He knows that was a sitter!

Eteyen: That touch from Pogba. Oh My Word that was beautiful

PJ: Good to see Fred off the mark with his first MUFC goal! More to come!!

Paul: Lovely finish by Fred, but that touch from Pogba was absolutely sublime. MUFC don't deserve the lead, but I'll definitely take it!!

    Burnley 0-0 Bournemouth

Burnley almost hustle and bustle their way to an opener, but Sam Vokes cannot get a meaningful touch at the far post.

Bournemouth are straight back up the opposite end asking questions. David Brooks' low cross causes a spot of panic before Joe Hart drops on the ball and calms the Claret's nerves.

But now Newcastle come close. Captain Jamaal Lascelles steams towards the near post but his glancing header has too much on it.

    Burnley 0-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth come close. And you can't get much closer.

Nathan Ake's shot deflects off Burnley defender Ben Mee, loops over Joe Hart and smacks off the crossbar.

Mohamed Salah is inches away from doubling Liverpool's lead but seconds later Joel Matip makes sure of it.

The defender leaps high and heads the ball into the bottom corner.

That there is the difference at this level.

You have go to take your opportunities at this point. Wolves should be 3-0 up and it was decent bit of play from United.

A fantastic touch from Pogba who pushed it into the path of Fred and it was a great finish.

A shot from 20 yards and they find themselves 1-0 up.

GOAL - Leicester 1-1 Huddersfieldpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

    Kelechi Iheanacho (21 mins)

Leicester break quickly through James Maddison. He slips an inch-perfect through ball down the middle for Jamie Vardy to run onto and it's then a two-on-one situation for the attackers.

Vardy slips it to his left and Kelechi Iheanacho coolly slots it into the corner.

  13. goal

GOAL - Manchester United 1-0 Wolvespublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

    Fred (18 mins)

The Brazilian breaks out a thumb suck and jig celebration to mark his first United goal.

It was a crisp low strike from Fred into the bottom corner that gave Rui Patricio no chance from 18 yards.

Special mention to Paul Pogba who set him up with a no-look one-touch pass as the ball dropped out the sky. Very nice.

Wolves have been on top. Can they recover from that gut-punch opener?

    Leicester 0-1 Huddersfield

Wilfred N'didi lunges into a tackle on the right sideline and Eric Durm is left in some discomfort.

He winces as he gets up to his feet and Huddersfield win a corner from the resulting free-kick.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:18 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

    Manchester United 0-0 Wolves

    David De Gea saves again!

Willy Boly, up from the back for a corner, stoops to head goalwards and it is a wonderful instinct stop from the Spaniard.

Bennett should do better there. It's a free header.

    Another opportunity missed for Wolves.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:16 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

    Manchester United 0-0 Wolves

It has been more Moyes nadir rather than 1999 highs for Sir Alex Ferguson so far.

Obviously that is a wide spectrum, but the visitors have carved out the clearer chances so far.

Ryan Bennett heads just over the top after climbing above Paul Pogba.

It was from only eight yards out and he put some muscle into the header.

I don't think David De Gea would have saved it had it been on target.

  19. Postpublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 22 September 2018

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle

Jordan Ayew comes close for Palace as he moves across the defender and dives to head the ball at the near post.

The angle is too tight and it glances wide.

Plenty of chances at Anfield. Jannik Verstergaard nods inches wide from a free-kick as Southampton look to respond.
