    Newcastle v Leicester (15:00 BST)

    Match of the Day commentator

Six matches into the season and already the Premier League table doesn't make for happy viewing for Newcastle. Two points, only four goals scored and three home defeats.

Can they get their first victory of 2018-19 against a Leicester side that I saw lose 4-2 at Bournemouth a fortnight ago, when the scoreline didn't reflect how poorly the Foxes performed.

Leicester have bounced back from that loss with victory over Huddersfield and a dramatic League Cup penalty shootout win at Wolves.

Is it too early in the season to call this a must-win match for Newcastle? Probably, but they are desperately in need of their first three-point haul.

West Ham v Man Utd (12:30 BST)

    Jonathan Pearce
BBC Match of the Day commentator

There is nothing as uncivil as civil war. From petty argument, swiftly to disorder and havoc. Manchester United's season will be destroyed unless Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba can put the club first and campaign on a united front until May.

Then the hierarchy will have to decide who leaves. Surely they will back Mourinho. To support a player over any manager would set a dangerous precedent.

They should have been concentrating on this game and narrowing the eight-point gap to Liverpool rather than infighting.

United do have a great record against West Ham, who are yet to win at home this season. But the Hammers could have beaten Chelsea, and if Marko Arnautovic is fit they'll be dangerous.

Folj: Does anyone have the idea of Jose Mourinho formation? Four central midfielders on the pitch same time? Ridiculous!

Our understanding is that United are expected to set-up in a 4-3-2-1 formation, with Paul Pogba slightly behind Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial. But time will tell!

They stayed up last season but Huddersfield are winless in 10 league games scoring just four times in that run.

And if they go behind to Tottenham they are in trouble.

The Terriers have yet to win a Premier League game after conceding the first goal, losing 19 of 21 matches after going 1-0 down.

    Arsenal v Watford (15:00 BST)

    Steve Bower
    Match of the Day commentator

The fact that Watford head into a fixture against Arsenal higher in the table than their opposition for the first time since 1984 says it all about their start to the campaign.

Having beaten Tottenham and pushed Manchester United, they will be full of belief heading to the Emirates, despite only managing one away win in their last 14 attempts.

Arsenal will attempt to record five successive league wins for the first time in more than a year, which tells its own story. It will be important for the Gunners to lay another small building block under Unai Emery for foundations that were never going to be a quick fix.

One thing is already clear in the post Wenger era - it's rarely going to be uneventful.

Am I crazy to think that despite the pressure, Pelligrini might be auditioning for the United job? We would prefer someone like Brucey or Keano to come in because they get the club, but Pelligrini has the credentials for sure. He and Keegan are my outsiders to replace Jose.

Supporting Manchester United at the moment is "like having a tortoise as a pet," according to comedian, TV presenter and Red Devils fan Karl Pilkington.

Pilkington, who takes on BBC Sport's football expert Mark Lawrenson in predicting this week's Premier League fixtures, was a boyhood Manchester City fan but switched sides to United in the 1990s.

I had a tortoise, and they are not entertaining to watch. You don't watch them, but you know you have got a bit of responsibility to show some interest.

"That is what I do with United. I keep an eye on them."

Man City v Brighton (15:00 BST)

    Alistair Mann
    MOTD commentator

A week away from their mouth-watering duel with Liverpool, Manchester City could strike a decisive psychological blow by ensuring they arrive at Anfield above Jurgen Klopp's side in the table.

If the champions beat Brighton, then only a win for the Reds at Stamford Bridge will prevent that occurrence - and with events in west London commencing once this match has concluded, there's even greater incentive for City to ensure there are no unexpected slip ups.

The Seagulls arrive at the Etihad with just two wins since early March but it's ironic that both of them have been against Manchester United, the only league opponents City have succumbed to in their last 21 league matches.

    On Phil Foden for England

England have got an obvious gap in our midfield at the moment. Why aren't we promoting from within [the youth ranks]. We don't have luxury of saying 'he has to play a certain amount of Premier League games'. He's training every day with world class players like Kevin de Bruyne - I'd get him involved.

    Arsenal v Watford (15:00 BST)

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on Radio 5 live

I have listened closely to comments about the Aaron Ramsey situation and if I was a an Arsenal fan - I'm not - it is not something that would worry me.

He will be looking for a big deal at this time in his career and does he fit into the manager's plans? I am not sure he is athletic enough or has the speed or power.

He is a top player and will go to a big club but sometimes a player does not fit into a certain style of play.

We haven't see the Aaron Ramsey who scored about 20 goals a few years ago. This doesn't feel like when there was the possibility of letting Mesut Ozil or Alexis Sanchez leave. I think it might work out best for both.

Losing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool was a bad one - I thought 'what are you doing?' But this one, nah.

    Wolves v Southampton (15:00 BST)

    Martin Fisher

Wolves continue to win new admirers. Their excellent performance in the draw at Manchester United persuaded more observers that Nuno's side rank as one of the best new arrivals to the Premier League in years.

Anyone who witnessed their stroll to the Championship title will know that there's more to come - and turning numerous chances into goals is their main issue.

Goals have been a long-term problem for Southampton, so Danny Ings' availability is a major boost.

He has scored three of their six so far and is surely the main threat to Wolves' unbeaten home record that stretches back to January.
