David Jarvis: When I was young all I wanted was a Newcastle themed bedroom but my parents said no as it was "too depressing". I thought they were talking about the colour scheme, turns out they were talking about being a Newcastle supporter.

  4. 'The players won't be happy with that'published at 19:45 British Summer Time 6 October 2018

    Man Utd 3-2 Newcastle

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes on BT Sport: "The manager is always going to get the stick when the club's struggling. When you're at a big club you're going to be under a lot of scrutiny.

"He's showed us that he can take the pressure but I don't really like what what he said about Rashford and McTominay. I don't think the players will be happy with that, that should have been said behind closed doors."

Let's be honest, Mourinho got a huge slice of luck with the handball miss. Dreadful officiating.

Momodou Musa Touray: What a game. It was an emotional roller coaster. Exasperation. Exultation. Elation.

Jaysal: Say what you want but Mourinho is a proven winner. Credit to him for making the necessary substitutions and tactical changes during the game in order to secure the win. If United can replicate what they did in the second half consistently, they’ll be back in contention.

Speaking to BT Sport, Man Utd midfielder Juan Mata said: "We needed something like that. It was very difficult to come back but we created more chances than we scored.

"We gave everything we had to win and in the second half we felt we had nothing to lose, and it is natural to create more when that happens.

"It is relief and we feel that we got what we needed. In football, results fix everything. In the second half we tried especially for the fans, and tonight they go home happy."

Ross Grainger: Wow, wow, wow. Bringing Mata on at 20 minutes was a huge gamble, but he was brilliant, and United played with all the speed and passion that makes me love them so. Like Mourinho and hope he succeeds.

Kenny Kong: Crazy game. Not one for the faint-hearted. Fantastic come-back win for United but does not hide any of the problems. For instance - can anyone tell what formation United finished the 90 with, and how many players were being played out of position?
