Huddersfield have taken some stick this season, but David Wagner has remained resolute in his belief that the goals - and results - will eventually come for his team.

On this evidence you can't argue with him. However... they're still losing here and still haven't scored at home since April.

This could not be any different from this fixture last season. It was one of the worst games we'd seen Town play. You had to have three showers to get over it.

Today has been fantastic. From the start of the match Town have gone at them.

They've made Liverpool make mistakes.

Liverpool have had one decent break but apart from that, Town are more than in this game and deserve to be on level terms.

Tim: Huddersfield are giving an excellent account. Liverpool almost holding on.

It has all got very noisy here.

The Huddersfield supporters were convinced they should have had a penalty for handball, then thought they had scored and then were fretting they were going to concede a second on the counter-attack.

The managers are relaying plenty of instructions between them but I am not convinced many are being heard.

Two more minutes for Huddersfield to claw themselves back on terms...

Huddersfield have the ball in the net... but the flag is already wafting in the West Yorkshire air.

After Liverpool partially clear a Philip Billing long throw, Jonathan Hogg heads back into the box where Alex Pritchard scampers clear and tucks past the onrushing Alisson.

Huddersfield think they should be given a penalty. Jonathan Hogg heads into the Liverpool box and the ball bounces up onto James Milner's arm. But ref Michael Oliver plays advantage as the ball breaks to Alex Pritchard, who can't make Liverpool pay. Oliver decides not to bring the ball back to Huddersfield's fury...

Plenty of encouragement for Huddersfield. They certainly don't deserve to be behind...

You have to be more composed... Huddersfield carve an opportunity as Alex Pritchard and Laurent Depoitre combine to put Philip Billing in over on the far side.

But the Dane's touch lets him down and is crowded out by Joe Gomez.

...but shooting is the only thing that is on Philip Billing's mind. The Huddersfield midfielder smacks a left-footed thunderbolt (Stuart Pearce style) inches past the right-hand post.

Alisson had it covered? Possibly.

Huddersfield free-kick about 35 yards out. In the mixer? Looks too far to shoot...

Respective managers David Wagner and Jurgen Klopp are old friends.

They evidently have the same trait of standing continuously at the edge of their technical area.

Wagner is not quite as experessive as Klopp, who was just showing Dejan Lovren the body shape he should adopt when receiving possession, but he does do quite a lot of pointing.
