I've been really impressed with Georginio Wijnaldum, he’s gone a bit under the radar in that Liverpool midfield. He just sits in front of that defence and screens them, gives them that stability and really takes charge.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is furious with himself as he fails to control a diagonal ball. He kicks the air and jogs back, muttering angrily.

Adrian Bourke: I fancy Trent to get a goal today. Liverpool score 4+ today.

Lewis, London: I've followed Fulham all of my life, so we all know what's coming... a good old 1-0 win! Up the whites!

He should have scored. Roberto Firmino's touch takes it away from the Fulham defenders, and Sadio Mane has to score, just curl that into the bottom corner.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is in acres of space as he whips a dangerous ball into the box from the right. It's missed by Roberto Firmino but falls to Sadio Mane on the far side.

The forward tries to curl it - presumably aiming for goal - but it's skewed slightly and misses the toe of Mohamed Salah by inches.

We call this forwards against defence on the training field, and Fulham will likely have lots of defending to do. This is a Premier League game so anything can happen, but if Liverpool are up for this, it could be a lot of goals.

Andre Schurrle and Aleksandar Mitrovic link up nicely on the edge of the box but Joe Gomez defends it well and wins a goal kick for Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp has switched the woolly hat he wore in Serbia for a black cap to block out the sun in Liverpool.

It's the hosts who have the early possession, passing it around at the back.

Bradley, Newcastle: Prediction for this game is a comfortable 2-0 victory for Liverpool. But, As a Newcastle fan, I'm still wondering why we sold Mitrovic. Fulham have a right player on their hands. Yet I don't think he can save Fulham from the drop this year.

"It’s always a tough one [after the Champions League]. The preparation for this game was interesting, I saw Fulham play against Manchester City and City had to work really hard and now obviously Fulham have changed today, in their approach.

"These four centre-halves on the pitch with how they line-up doesn’t sound too easy for us but let's go for it.

"[Naby] Keita and [Jordan] Henderson are ready but someone at the Premier League told me I can only play with 11 players."

Fulham's only win on Merseyside in 54 away league games against Liverpool and Everton was 1-0 at Anfield in May 2012. They've lost 42 of those.

The Cottagers have scored just four times in their last 17 matches away to Liverpool.

And the Reds have won the last four meetings - scoring a total of 14 goals.

"We must be more solid, more competitive and find a balance to try and play our football. It is not a great situation for us but we are looking to improve our performance.

"Which plan is the best plan? A, B, C or D, there are many plans. To be honest we’ll try and find the best one for different situations and we think this is the best one for us at the start of the game."

It's a beautiful day at Anfield but it's still pretty chilly. The players are out warming up and the stands are starting to fill.

Whoever wins the toss should choose to play with the sun on their backs because it could be a tricky day for the keepers.

Aleksander Pagels: This Fulham side is worse than the one that was relegated in 2014. And they were shockingly terrible as well.

Emmanuel Ejii: I hope I don’t regret picking and captaining Mane over Salah in my fantasy football team.

Liverpool might have found the partisan atmosphere of Red Star uncomfortable on Tuesday, but Fulham's Serbian head coach Slavisa Jokanovic was always Partizan when it came to the Belgrade divide - and may not have been celebrating Liverpool's loss.

Jokanovic will be well aware that Liverpool's players will be fired up to make amends.

Fulham play football - and should be applauded for it - but they've discovered that trying to outplay teams blessed with better players only ever ends one way.

A change in the Cottagers' approach must be in evidence at Anfield on Sunday. If not, then the current crop of Fulham players might just get a taste of how their 1986 team felt when they went to Anfield: despite Liverpool missing a penalty, Fulham lost -10-0!, external
