I hope the reports are true about Lukaku not starting. Don’t think he would worry City if he was playing as much as the pace of Rashford, Lingard, Martial will. Doesn’t press opposition either. Pogba is 50/50, if not 100% fit, don’t start him, United can’t afford to carry anyone. If one player isn’t on it, City could be out of sight in the first 20 mins.

  3. A successful season so far?published at 11:40 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2018

    Liverpool v Fulham (12:00 GMT)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "The season so far-wise, points-wise in the Premier League, has been really successful.

"But it doesn't really feel like that because there are two reasons in comparison with last year: free-flowing football in a few games and Man City and maybe Chelsea and a few others play a very good season as well.

"It feels a bit like this season can only be a success if we become champions."

  6. Home advantagepublished at 11:36 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2018

    Liverpool v Fulham (12:00 GMT)

Anfield remains a formidable place and Fulham will have to break a long-standing record if they want all three points today.

Liverpool are unbeaten in 26 top-flight games at Anfield, their longest such run since a 31-match streak between 2007 and 2009.

We desperately need Salah, Firmino, and Mane to clean up their play. They've all looked off-form all season. They don't need to be brilliant, just clean and tidy. At times they've tried to be too elaborate.

  9. 'We chose an ugly way to lose'published at 11:28 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2018

    Liverpool v Fulham (12:00 GMT)

Fulham sit bottom of the Premier League table following a 1-0 defeat by Huddersfield on Monday night, an early six-pointer in the eyes of some.

Head coach Slavisa Jokanovic wants his players to stand up and be counted: "In the last game we chose a really ugly way to lose. You must fight until the last moment, you must give extra effort. We didn't show the effort and we must now wake up.

"My mentality is always the same. I want to find brave people around me. We must move out of our comfort zone, push harder and be more competitive.

"After a tough two-and-a-half years in the Championship, we cannot give up now. We must show ambition and pride."

  11. Contrasting positionspublished at 11:22 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2018

    Liverpool v Fulham (12:00 GMT)

Both teams are having their own battles this year. Liverpool remain two points off the top but need to keep up with the pack and will expect nothing but a win.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal are also in action later today so there could be some movement within the top five.

As for visitors Fulham, they start the day rock bottom of the Premier League with just one win this season.

Five of yesterday's bottom six were in action so there's been plenty of changes to the table - none of which affected Fulham.

A win today would move Fulham level on points with 18th-placed Cardiff following their victory over Brighton yesterday.

As a Fulham fan I'm trying to work out our formation? Five at the back? Or Christie at RM with Sess on the left, but where does that leave Schurrle? The fact it's this hard to work out tells you we still haven't got a clue on our best team...

    Martin Keown

Juan Foyth went into this game a boy and came out a man. He suddenly said to himself 'I'm going to play and trust my ability'. He reacted quickly and to get his goal was delightful for him.

Mauricio Pochettino has launched so many careers in the Premier League. He deserves credit for that.

  15. 'Rondon bullied Bournemouth'published at 11:15 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2018

    Newcastle 2-1 Bournemouth

    Alan Shearer
Former Newcastle striker on BBC MOTD

Salomon Rondon was brilliant. It was the complete centre-forward performance. Bournemouth's three centre-backs couldn’t handle him because he bullied them.

They couldn’t handle him or control him and he should have got his hat-trick. Rondon was involved in everything that was good about Newcastle.

  18. What happened yesterday?published at 11:12 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2018

It was all about the bottom of the table as plenty of relegation-battling sides took to the field.

Newcastle stole the show as they picked up their second win on the bounce in a pulsating match with Bournemouth.

It was also a good day for Cardiff as they took all three points against Brighton thanks to a 90th-minute winner from Sol Bamba.

There was anger at full-time for Southampton striker Charlie Austin after they were held to a 1-1 draw with Watford.

And Huddersfield drew 1-1 with West Ham, while Tottenham got a narrow 1-0 win at Crystal Palace.

The only goalless draw was in Leicester as they hosted Burnley at the King Power Stadium for the first time since the death of their owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Tributes poured in for Vichai ahead of kick-off and there were emotional celebrations of his life across the entire city.

Arsenal then host an in-form Wolves side at 16:30 GMT, while the big derby between Manchester City and Manchester United also kicks-off at 16:30 GMT.

  20. Team newspublished at 11:03 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2018

    Liverpool v Fulham (12:00 GMT)

Jurgen Klopp makes four changes to the Liverpool side who suffered a shock defeat to Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League earlier this week.

James Milner and Daniel Sturridge drop to the bench, while Adam Lallana and Joel Matip are left out of the squad.

Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri come into midfield, while Joe Gomez resumes his place at centre-back and Roberto Firmino at centre-forward. Skipper Jordan Henderson makes it onto the bench after recovering from injury.

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Shaqiri, Fabinho, Mane, Salah, Firmino

There are three changes to the Fulham side from that disappointing 1-0 loss to Huddersfield on Monday evening.

Cyrus Christie, Alfie Mawson and Calum Chambers come into the side as Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Jean Michael Seri and Luciano Vietto drop to the bench.

Fulham XI: Rico, Chambers, Odoi, Le Marchand, R Sessegnon, Anguissa, Cairney, Christie, Mawson, Mitrovic, Schurrle
