David Thackeray: This is as boring as any game I've seen this season. Time to watch a re-run of CHE v EVE. At least there was a bit of pace.

Mr Lamide: Wolves put up a better showing at the Etihad. This is embarrassing.

  2. HALF-TIMEpublished at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2018

    Arsenal 0-1 Wolves

Helder Costa gets the better of Rob Holding and gallops forward before crossing straight into the arms of Bernd Leno.

All Wolves' performance is missing is a second goal.

Ander Herrera is not having the best of games - and that's putting it lightly. He's lost the ball twice while in possession and now he has his pass intercepted as Sergio Aguero charges into the box but shoots into the sidenetting from a tricky angle.

Herrera's blushes are spared but Jose Mourinho will not be happy with an error-strewn half from the normally reliable midfielder.

Dr David: It looks like the traditional mid season Arsenal collapse is starting early this year.

Daniel Cheng: Would love to see an Unai "hairdryer" if we're not level by HT!

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 17:15 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2018

    Man City 1-0 Man Utd

Now Manchester United have a player in the book - Luke Shaw shown a yellow card for effectively rugby tackling Riyad Mahrez. The former Leicester City player swings the ball into the box, there's shouts of handball as Chris Smalling goes up to clear but nothing doing, instead City have another corner.

I wonder if Rui Patrício thought that five minutes from the end of the first half he would still not have had a save to make against Arsenal?

It's been a Sunday stroll for the Wolves keeper so far.

David Silva turns Ander Herrera on the left side of the box, he wriggles his way into the area before Marouane Fellaini comes across to stub it behind for a corner. It's Manchester City's fourth of the game but nothing comes of it.

Arsenal think they have got behind the Wolves defence but Alex Iwobi is flagged offside. More frustration from the stands.

Dennis Ethan: Pogba is a big miss for those quick transitions isn't he?

Bernardo Silva weaves his way through the middle but miscues his pass to Benjamin Mendy, instead finding a Manchester United player and immediately the visitors break. Marcus Rashford takes the ball all the way up the pitch but ends up running it out of play wide right as he struggles for options.

Five minutes to go until half time.

    Arsenal 0-1 Wolves

A TV camera zooms in on Unai Emery. The Arsenal boss looks a troubled man. He's standing in his technical area with his mouth open.

His side have had most of the possession but Wolves have peppered the Gunners net with six shots.

Arsenal have yet to register a shot on target 10 minutes from the end of the first half.

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Etihad Stadium

Manchester United have just been able to steady things in the last few minutes after that thunderous start from Manchester City. Still no clear chances for Jose Mourinho's team but at least City's momentum has been stifled - for now at least.

Aamer Iqbal: City's passing suddenly becoming a bit ragged. United dragging them down to their level.

Cyprian K: It's painful watching MUFC play. No mobility in midfield and weak defense. With all those millions of pounds spent, we should be doing better than this.

    Man City 1-0 Man Utd

    Robbie Savage

The Manchester United players can't pick up David Silva. He'll be up against the centre halves, then drop deep or go out wide. For the goal he was on his own, he just finds space. Fascinating player to watch.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 17:05 Greenwich Mean Time 11 November 2018
