As a top class keeper Martin Dubravka has to do better with Chris Wood's shot. He's a little bit fortunate it bounced to safety.

Burnley fans are baying for blood as Mohamed Diame steams in late on Jack Cork. They want to see a booking, ref Anthony Taylor says it is nothing more than a foul.

Interesting stat... no Premier League player has made more tackles in 2018 than Diame.

That's what we expect from Burnley. Get the ball wide and get crosses in.

I think Newcastle have gone to a five at the back with Matt Ritchie as one wing-back and DeAndre Yedlin as the other.

Plenty of energy from both sides in a high-tempo start. Burnley probing, Newcastle pressing.

Matt Lowton suddenly finds himself in acres of space on the right flank, curling in an inviting cross to the far stick.

Chris Wood lurks but cannot control his half-volley and it sails into the Cricket Field Stand.

Pretty sure Federico Fernandez won't be picking up a goal bonus in next month's wages. Reckon his sidefooted effort was going wide until Ben Mee stuck his boot in the way.

The Burnley manager Sean Dyche will be absolutely livid. When you're defending a corner the first thing you're looking for is height and distance.

Sitting back and attacking on the counter-attack is Rafael Benitez's forte. Newcastle are very adept at defending, Benitez is a superb defensive coach.

Is that shirtless Newcastle fan still around? You know the one - big fella, NUFC tattoo on his stomach. If he is then he'll be bearing all in the away end. The travelling fans, as you will expect, are buzzing.

Burnley go straight on the hunt for a foothold back in the match. Some aggressive attacking play pins back the visitors but ends when Sam Vokes slips and balloons a 20-yard shot over the bar.

Federico Fernandez had the shot after a really poor clearance from Chris Wood at the far post. He was just trying to bend it into the far corner and it's a massive deflection off Ben Mee.

It's an absolutely shocking header from Wood right back into the danger area. It was a tame shot and Joe Hart would have got that.

Ouch. Ben Mee gets his bonce in the way of Mo Diame's speculative shot. Better there than the inside of the thigh I'd suggest.

The sort of night where you can see the breath of the players. And the sort of night where I'd be wearing four players and two pairs of socks if I was sat in the stands. Maybe an extra pair of pants.
