    Breaking

    Bournemouth v Liverpool (12:30 GMT)

Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are back in the Liverpool starting XI. James Milner is captain on his 500th Premier League appearance.

The big Bournemouth news is there is NO Callum Wilson in the Bournemouth squad.

That banging you can here is the sound fantasy football players up and down the country all throwing their phones in frustration.

  2. 'In Dyche they trust'published at 11:29 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Burnley v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

    Martin Fisher

Burnley's slow start to the season has deteriorated into a major slump. Six losses in an eight-game winless streak has left them stuck in the relegation zone.

While other strugglers have dispensed with their managers recently, don't expect the Turf Moor suits to follow suit. They know the club is in safe hands. In Sean Dyche they trust.

There were clear signs of improvement against Liverpool and they'll need to maintain those levels against a Brighton side looking for their third victory in a row.

With Shane Duffy suspended and Glenn Murray an injury doubt, Burnley might be catching them at the right time.

    Burnley v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

Burnley manager Sean Dyche made five changes to his team against Liverpool and may opt for a similar side following an encouraging display.

Steven Defour is again a doubt because of discomfort in his knee.

Brighton & Hove Albion will assess the fitness of Glenn Murray and Jose Izquierdo, who are nursing respective shoulder and knee problems.

Shane Duffy starts a three-match suspension but Dale Stephens returns after completing a ban of his own.

    Arsenal v Huddersfield (15:00 GMT)

Arsenal's last meeting with Huddersfield was a notable one, being Arsene Wenger's 1,235th and final game in charge.

I covered that game and remember thinking prior to interviewing him for the last time that it seemed odd to think of someone else coming into that role, as during my 20 years on Match of the Day it had always been him.

Yet how quickly Unai Emery has made his mark on the club. It's 20 matches unbeaten now and I think there's a competitive bite to Arsenal that had been missing previously.

Huddersfield lost this fixture 5-0 last season and have their hands full once again. David Wagner's side enjoyed an excellent 2-0 win at Wolves last month, but it remains their only away success so far this season.

  5. Early team newspublished at 11:21 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Arsenal v Huddersfield (15:00 GMT)

Arsenal defender Rob Holding faces nine months out with a ruptured cruciate ligament, while Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey are both doubts.

Granit Xhaka is available after suspension and Laurent Koscielny could be involved for the first time since tearing his Achilles tendon in May.

Huddersfield's Abdelhamid Sabiri is out with a broken collarbone, while Phil Billing and Steve Mounie are banned.

Chris Lowe should feature after recovering from a shoulder injury.

  7. 'Dramatic week in latest test of endurance'published at 11:19 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2018

    Bournemouth v Liverpool (12:30 GMT)

The fact that Liverpool have their best ever points tally after 15 games and still aren't top of the table shows just how high their standards must continue to be.

They head to Dorset after a productive and dramatic week in their latest test of endurance, which will continue after this match with the huge Champions League meeting against Napoli on Tuesday.

It was important for Bournemouth to end a run of four straight defeats against Huddersfield before they test themselves against one of the big boys again.

They still remember their only win against Liverpool in December 2016, a dramatic 4-3 victory, but Jurgen Klopp's team these days are a far more stubborn proposition.

Bournemouth's Lewis Cook faces up to nine months out after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during Tuesday's win over Huddersfield.

Dan Gosling remains absent with a knee injury, while there are fitness concerns over several unnamed players.

Liverpool are without defenders Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne and Joe Gomez, with the latter ruled out for up to six weeks with a lower leg fracture.

Sadio Mane is a major doubt because of a cut foot but Andy Robertson returns.

    Premier League top six

With Man City travelling to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea later, this could be a big day in the title race.

Liverpool have the chance to move back to the top of the pile with a win at Bournemouth and put the pressure back on their title rivals.

A point will take Bournemouth sixth for now at least.
