There's definitely contact on Dejan Lovren but is it enough to award a penalty? Probably not.
It's the lack of consistency which is hard to grasp. But what's football without a bit of debate? Either way, Liverpool have clearly been the better side today and the scoreline reflects that.

One moment I was watching the Liverpool defence, the next it’s a wonderful ball by van Dijk down the line.
Look at who’s taking the shot for Liverpool! It was a good effort from Alexander-Arnold but Arsenal managed to get the block in.

He plays a lovely ball over the top for Sadio Mane, whose first touch is exquisite. The attack ends with Trent Alexander-Arnold's shot being deflected wide for a corner.

The ball is beautifully thread through by Granit Xhaka to Aaron Ramsey and the Welshman slides it across the goal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to tap in.
But somehow Aubameyang misses from a yard out - skewing his effort over the bar! Incredible miss. Turns out he's offside anyway...

That was good defending by Shaqiri in his own box. He knew that if he mistimed his tackle it would have been a penalty.
Liverpool aren’t living dangerously but they’ve had a few situations where they’ve given the ball away needlessly.

Sead Kolasinac turns inside and Xherdan Shaqiri comes charging into him in the box. But the Arsenal man falls to the ground under no contact, seemingly thrown off balance by his own turn. There's very few appeals from the crowd and none by the players.
