Chelsea

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri told BBC Sport: "I think we played well for 80 metres, then in the last 20 metres we were in trouble. We had four or five goal opportunities but sometimes if you want to have a lot of opportunities you have to score the first goal.

"We did not move the ball very well and we need to improve. We were playing without important players like Pedro, Willian after 30 minutes, Callum Hudson-Odoi was out. On the bench I only had one offensive player Loftus (Ruben Loftus-Cheek) and he is not very well at the moment with back trouble."

On the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Christian Pulisic for 64m euros (£58m), who will be loaned back to the German club until the end of the season, Sarri added: "I didn't know anything about Christian Pulisic yesterday. The club asked my opinion about him one month ago and my opinion was positive and I knew the deal was done but I didn't know anything. I'm not in charge of the market.

"We have to play every three days so I cannot think of next year, I have to think about the next match."

Burnley

Sean Dyche, speaking to Sky Sports: "If you look at some of the performances they have been decent. I am pleased for the players but we still have more to do. I reminded them of that but I am pleased for the players.

"It is not easy to get back-to-back wins. We had a few false starts but I think the signs are getting better. The team is remodelling itself. The mentality is stronger again, the physicality stats are higher again. It is becoming clear all time, it is not done deal but the signs are again that they are getting back to that resilience.

"After five games we were bottom of the league. We have been climbing. We have to continue that to make sure we look after ourselves."

Newcastle United

Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez: "We did OK against a team with very good players, for 85 minutes we were in the game and deserve more.

"The team is working hard in every game, we push really hard but it's the final decision. We did enough to get something in this game."

West Ham United

West Ham striker Marko Arnautovic: “I can’t be happy. Obviously we talked about wanting to win at home. First half was a boring game from both sides, second half they had two set-pieces and after those we started to play football.

“With a bit of luck we can take a win away, but we didn’t and it was a fair draw."

Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche, speaking to Match of the Day: "We showed a good mentality towards the game. We were 1-0 down and there was no panic.

"We had calmness and the belief is growing again in what we do. We scored a really good goal and then the sending off changes the feel of the game. Then it is difficult. It is game of patience and believing we will break them down and we did.

"We stayed focussed, shifting the ball and eventually scored with a really fine move."

Rafa Benitez was pushed by Sky man Geoff Shreeves on whether he will be signing any players this month - he just repeats the line 'I am not going to talk about the transfer window.'

I understand his reluctance to talk about January transfers as he's probably not going to get anything out of it.

Newcastle could be in a relegation battle come the end of the season and if they can finish fourth from bottom, I'll be delighted with that.

Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez: "We made a mistake for the first goal and then conceded on the counter attack which happens when you play good players. They punish you.

"We had chances in the first half, you lose 2-0 but we deserved more. If you analyse how we concede it's not clear chances. It's mistkaes.

"The final third is the key and that's where you pay big money for players who can make the difference."

Southampton

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl told BBC Sport: "I think it was very hard work against the ball. The guys were brave, sometimes pressing high, sometimes deeper. We didn't give so many chances away, they have fantastic quality and to defend every attack is not easy, but with our mentality we deserved a point.

"In the last 30 minutes you feel tired, we had to close the gaps and if you have guy like Eden Hazard dribbling at you, you need a lot of players near him to stop him.

"We made the right decision to change so many players against Manchester City to keep them fresh for today. I don't want to say we gave the Manchester City game away but we had more chances today. It was an amazing fight we gave."

On goalkeeper Angus Gunn, who kept a clean sheet on his debut, Hasenhuttl added: "The guy showed he is a very forward defensive goalkeeper. We knew about Chelsea's chipped balls forward and we told him to be brave. He made some good saves and I'm happy with him."

Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to BBC Sport: "You'd be happy with four wins from four - we haven't conceded from open play yet either.

"We were slow in the first half but we controlled the game well, we concentrated and overall it was a very professional performance.

"In a five-minute spell we gave them two or three chances but then we settled down again. Newcastle is a fantastic club, fantastic crowd, you expect them to attack you but Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones were fantastic.

"Marcus Rashford has the Cristiano hit, it swerves everywhere, but I liked his goal today. Calmed himself down, just passed it in. Well done.

"He is only 21, you have to remember that. You need to rattle Paul Pogba at times to get him going, he has been immense for us."

United were impressive once they went one-nil up. It was only a matter of time before their forwards started to do that.

Solskjaer couldn't have done any more. I think they'll have looked at the fixtures coming up and thought' let's give him the best possible start'.

There are bigger tests to come and I am concerned about how they are defensively.

But what if Solskjaer wins them a trophy? I think they should keep him.

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Chris Hughton:

"When you are 2-0 up in any game it’s hard to take when the opposition get back to level terms. At that stage the momentum was with them, but to gather our composure was pleasing and away from home it was a good performance. I’m delighted with the goals we got."

On whether Michail Antonio went out of play for Marko Arnautovic's equaliser, he added: "I've seen one angle that looks like it might have gone out, but someone else has told me it was just in play.

"At the moment no complaints, we defended really well particularly in the first half, and there was probably only a handful of times where we didn’t defend well and that’s where they got their chances.

"Any point here is a good point, but today it's not because we were 2-0 up. It could have unravelled, but I thought we knuckled down and showed good composure."

Watford

Watford manager Javi Gracia:

"I am a little disappointed because after scoring three goals we have lost a good chance to win. It's not easy to score three goals away from home.

"We conceded in the moment two goals from two free-kicks. We had to defend better. After that we competed well and we were looking for victory until the end. Maybe if it could have worked differently but we kept working.

"It was different moments in the game. We started well and after they scored two goals as well it was a moment without control but we controlled it better in the second half and were more organised to contain them.

Should Abdoulaye Doucoure have been sent off? "Yes because in that moment I was seeing all the referee decisions were against us. Then I prefer to change him. I wanted to put Tom Cleverley on.

"I think there were different decisions with Nathan Ake as well. I think it was a penalty. We accept the decisions and try to do better next time."

Robbie Swale: People talking about Solskjaer's affect on Rashford and Pogba, but what has he done to Lindelof?! He's looking like Pique crossed with Rio Ferdinand.

Andrew Morris: Can't ask for much more than the first four games under OGS at Man Utd. Four games that I would dread under Mourinho were dispatched as you'd expect during the Fergie years. At this rate, going to be tough to move on from OGS at the end of the season..

West Ham United

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini: “I’m absolutely frustrated. The most important way that Brighton scores is from set pieces, they had seven goals form corners, and we allowed them to score two goals this way. I don’t remember any other chances for them, but we didn’t create in the first 45 minutes.”

Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to Sky Sports: "Finally we kept a clean sheet. A very professional performance. We didn't hit the heights that we can do but we were in control, kept plugging away and got the goals.

"A good first touch from a sub! When you see big Romelu Lukaku running towards you, as a keeper you might take your hands away! We were sluggish in the first half, it was like a testimonial, too many square passes.

"We go to Dubai after the FA Cup game, you need that fitness work because we will need legs come the end of March."

Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe:

"We went 2-0 down and it looked like a big ask but fair play to the players. It was the ability to never give up and we should have won the game in the end. It was one of those games that if you stopped it at 3-3 it was bizarre.

"We had chances and they didn't have many but they took them. It was frustrating second half because we should have won. We went all out to win today but it's another point closer to where we want to be."

Should Abdoulaye Doucoure have been sent off?

"He should have been sent off."

Did Nathan Ake handball it at the end?

"It would have been a travesty for us if that had gone against us. It's a close call for the referee and so late in the game.

"Today was a big point for us and we look forward to the FA Cup game."

Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield manager David Wagner, speaking to BBC Sport: "The sending off was the big decision that went against us, even if I thought it was the correct decision.

"We started the game well and took the lead. We take this result on the chin. We have our own plan and schedule of what we have to do.

"Statistically 100% we are relegated because no team has survived with 10 points after 21 games but this doesn't change that we have something in our mind of what we will do.

"We beaten lot of statistics in the past. We know what we have to do. We have our plan to follow and this plan is independent of where we are in the table."
