  1. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:22 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Bournemouth 3-3 Watford

Ryan Fraser's cross is whipped in towards Callum Wilson and he gets a clean connection on it but Ben Foster reacts brilliantly to make the save.

  2. goal

GOAL - Newcastle 0-1 Man Utdpublished at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Romelu Lukaku (64 mins)

    First touch!

Poor goalkeeping gifts Manchester United the opener. Marcus Rashford hits a dipping free-kick from about 25 yards, gun-barrel straight and down the throat of Martin Dubravka. It does pitch just in front of him but he would hold it nine times out of 10. This time he lets the ball wriggle free and Romelu Lukaku - just on seconds earlier - gobbles it up and slams into the back of the net.

    West Ham 2-2 Brighton

Michail Antonio bursts into the penalty area after beating two defenders on the right. He goes for glory though - blasting over the bar!

  4. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd

Manchester United send on Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, the thick part of a million quid a week on wages. Can they make an impact?

  5. Elation and dejectionpublished at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Huddersfield 1-2 Burnley

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at John Smith's Stadium

There were no big shows of emotion on either bench at Ashley Barnes' goal.

Sean Dyche managed a first pump before taking a big gulp of water, David Wagner stood with his arms folded, as he has done for most of the game.

Against Brighton earlier this season, Huddersfield led, then lost after having a man sent off.

    History about to repeat itself?

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

Another fine save from Angus Gunn! Makes himself big again, shutting out Alvaro Morata and making the save look easy. £10m well spent? On this early form, it could be...

Johnny: Surely time for Lukaku and Sanchez, no? 0-0 away to Newcastle will raise questions about the Golden Boy’s appointment no doubt. He’s had very easy fixtures to deal with and floundering against a very mediocre team.

I'm a massive Newcastle fan but I'm glad to be watching this one from the comfort of my armchair instead of going to the game. It's the kind of drab affair I'm used to seeing under Rafa.

The Newcastle fans have really cleared their throats at the start of this second half. They sense this could be a special night for those in black and white.

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd

The Newcastle fans scream for a penalty as Christian Atsu runs in on goal again - he gets a hand on the back but there's really very little in it and referee Andre Marriner is not interested.

    Bournemouth 3-3 Watford

Watford are getting it into the box for Troy Deeney and the striker is beating Jefferson Lerma to the ball every time. Nothing has come of it yet in this second half but this game has taught us that anything can happen...

Keep the faith Kyle. I get paid just as much for a 0-0, don't worry about me.

Kyle: Don't worry Tom surely there will be late drama in your matches better late than never. It'll add to the entertainment and drama we all love a late goal or 2 or 3.

Christian Atsu has been a real threat for Newcastle tonight, he drags a shot across the face of goal from 20-odd yards but doesn't ever get hold of it.

No surprise to see Abdoulaye Doucoure hauled off for Tom Cleverley in the 56th minute - the Hornets midfielder looked to be one foul away from a second yellow card.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:15 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Bournemouth 3-3 Watford

Abdoulaye Doucoure has been treading on glass with a few risky tackles while on a yellow card. It's a sensible substitution for Watford as Tom Cleverely replaces him.

SMK: Brighton with Dunk AND Duffy in defence are a different beast

KN: On today’s evidence, I reckon Rashford as a 9 holds the ball better than Lukaku does

David Ashworth: If Burnley can't win tonight against the bottom club playing with 10 men they really are in trouble. What has happened since last season?

  20. 'Danger from United'published at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2019

    Newcastle 0-0 Man Utd

    Alan Shearer
Former England captain on Radio 5 live

Very good play from Victor Lindelof, he was strong against Salomon Rondon and he played it in to Marcus Rashford, who cuts back on his left foot but he scuffs it.

    More danger from Manchester United.
