The away fans are in fine voice now. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had a lot of time for the quality of that finish from Marcus Rashford.

    Marcus Rashford

Spurs' risk-taking comes back to hurt them! Kieran Trippier gives the ball away cheaply with an errant crossfield ball, and Tottenham don't have cover back. Paul Pogba is able to look up and send Marcus Rashford away over the top.

Rashford has plenty to do, he's wide out on the right of the area, but he is able to clip a shot past Hugo Lloris and right into the bottom corner!

Lloris got a touch on it - should he have done better?

Atul Tambe: United making sure Eriksen is not getting enough time on the ball. He can be very dangerous.

Richard Browne: Fantastic game for the neutral, but easy to see why both teams are a yard or two off the top two.

Sam Roberts: Re Aquib 16:59 Utd were all about constant pressure. This is archetypal Mourinho if we're honest. As an LFC fan long may it continue!

And now Mousa Sissoko is coming off. He has to sit down as Manchester United have possession and now Erik Lamela is on.

The biggest difference between the two teams at the moment is that when Tottenham go forward their movement is exceptional. Players are dropping into space, there's interchange, and Manchester United cannot pick them up.

When United go forward it's almost in a straight line. They're looking for that out and out pace to get beyond the defenders. United need a bit more creativity in the final third.

That could be that for Moussa Sissoko, although he is trying to convince everyone that he can carry on. Erik Lamela is stripped off but the Frenchman is back on, for now.

Diane. Arsenal fan rooting for Spurs! Are you for real? I wouldn't want Spurs to win a raffle.

Could someone tell Harry Winks that this is Wembley. You can't hit row z - it's too far away.

AC: United have shown both sides to their game today. They’ve looked bright going forward and showing a bit of steel at the back. It’s extremely open, great game.

Ash Williams: Well that offside goal has just shown how poor United are defending. Utd are giving spurs too much time out wide.

RegularJon: United playing well against a team “so much better than them”. Just need to be more clinical. Could be one or two up with the chances created.

Lovely long ball over the top and into the run of Harry Kane by Toby Alderweireld, Kane puts it across goal first time and there's nobody up with play. Toby then pings another long one onto the head of Dele Alli but he can't control it.

The first half-hour has flown by at Wembley, a testimony to the tempo and quality of what we have seen so far.

Spurs and Manchester United are not holding back and the game is all the better for it.

Just having a look round now, player for player, there's not a huge difference between these two teams.

The two centre-backs for Tottenham are a bit better and then Harry Kane up front. The rest, I think they're pretty much like for like.

Spurs have the swing of the pendulum again now, without a doubt. Can that fluid front three conjure something up before the break?

Tottenham are playing two on two or three on three at the back all the time. It's a brave gamble. If United can get a bit of quality into those central areas and those forward players it's a great opportunity to really get at the Tottenham defence.

  17. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 31 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Man Utd

    Harry Kane! Offside!

Ooooh, the England captain is adamant that he was onside but that's probably the right call. Slick pasing freed up Kieran Trippier on the right, his cross is lovely, Dele Alli attacks it at the far post, it comes off his groin and Kane stabs it in from just a few yards out.

    It won't count though.

Not too get over excited but this reminds me of the old united!! Quick fast and counter attacks.
