  1. St Mirren 'a bit of a shambles'published at 16:22 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    St Mirren 0-2 Livingston

    Derek Ferguson
Former Rangers and Hamilton midfielder on Radio Scotland

Livingston are well drilled, they all know what they're doing.

For St Mirren? They are all over the place. It's terrible to say this but they look powder-puff. A bit of a shambles at the moment I've got to say.

They just aren't at the races and I can only see this going one way.

  2. HITS THE WOODWORK - Heartspublished at 16:21 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

Uche Ikpeazu's header from Steven Naismith's corner clips the top of the Kilmarnock crossbar.

Hopefully, we're not going to get a 0-0. One goal would win this game the way it's going just now."

    Hibernian 0-1 Aberdeen

Aberdeen are not coming forward too often, but when they do they are playing some terrific stuff, with good link-up play between Gary Mackay-Steven, Lewis Ferguson and Frank Ross.

Hibs chances tend to be long-range shots, and Neil Lennon needs more of a threat in the final third if his team is to get level.

    Kenny Crawford
BBC Sport Scotland at Somerset Park

They couldn't, could they? Jackson Longridge pops up at the back post to roll a close-range finish under Ross Doohan after Miles Hippolyte's floated cross.

Dunfermline have 30 minutes to try and score another couple and take something from the match.

  9. CLOSE!published at 16:13 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    St Mirren 0-2 Livingston

What a chance for St Mirren. A long punt up the park bemuses the Livingston defence to allow Danny Mullen to drift in. The striker has to wait for the high ball to bounce but his thrashed volley on his right foot should have been better. Instead, it sails over the bar.

Still, at least encouraging for the Saints support that their team are creating openings.

  10. Postpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Hearts

Kris Boyd blocks team-mate Stuart Findlay's cross and the Kilmarnock striker was offside into the bargain. One of the rare occasions the striker was not in the right place at the right time.

  11. Aberdeen more clinicalpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Hibernian 0-1 Aberdeen

There is a short delay in the game as Andrew Considine gets treatment, and the Dons defender has to come off temporarily with a huge bump on his head.

Before that, Stevie Mallan's powerful shot was well saved by Dons stopper Joe Lewis.

Steven Whittaker also takes a dig from long range, but it's over the bar.

  16. Big 45 minutes coming up for Hibspublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    HT: Hibernian 0-1 Aberdeen

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Sport Scotland

The half-time scoreline is certainly harsh on Hibernian, who had the bulk of play and chances, but they only have themselves to blame after a combination of defensive blunders.

Efe Ambrose allowed Dons striker Stevie May to peel away unchallenged, and he nodded the ball back across goal where goalkeeper Adam Bogdan flapped awa,y and Tommie Hoban simply tapped home from close range.

Referee Andrew Dallas is having a day to forget with both sides looking as if they should have had penalties. Both benches up and arms and but without any hope of overturning the decisions.

A big 45 minutes coming up for Hibernian if they want to retain their unbeaten home record in 2018.

  17. Relentless from the Honest Menpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    HT: Ayr 3-0 Dunfermline

    Kenny Crawford
BBC Sport Scotland at Somerset Park

This kind of start to the season, never mind this game, must have been beyond Ayr manager Ian McCall's wildest dreams.

Today they have benefitted from Dunfermline not being at the races, yet the hosts have still had to do the job of putting the ball in the back of the net, which they've done mercilessly.

  18. 'Harsh words needed for St Mirren'published at 15:59 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    HT: St Mirren 0-2 Livingston

    Derek Ferguson
    Former Rangers and Hamilton midfielder

    Quote Message

Livi have looked the more assured against an out-of-sorts St Mirren side. Livingston are in the driving seat. I think some harsh words are needed from Alan Stubbs down in the dressing room if they are going to get back into the game.

    St Johnstone 0-0 Dundee

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright and Dundee counterpart Neil McCann were reunited at kick-off at McDiarmid Park.

To say the pair haven't seen eye to eye recently would be fair. Tempers flared in March on the touchline during a previous meeting between their teams, resulting in Saints keeper Zander Clark and McCann getting bans.

Wonder what the two were chatting about here?
