  1. CLOSE!published at 15:35 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    St Johnstone 0-0 Dundee

Against the run of play, St Johnstone should be ahead. First, Matty Kennedy sets up David McMillan, who curls his shot over the bar from inside the box.

Then the winger breaks through on Jack Hamilton, but his shot trickles inches wide across the face of goal.

  2. 'Lack of confidence' for St Mirrenpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    St Mirren 0-1 Livingston

    Derek Ferguson
    Former Rangers and Hamilton midfielder

"St Mirren look really nervous at the back. It's maybe a lack of confidence after being hammered last week against Aberdeen but they just look short on confidence to me.

"I'm a little bit surprised with the way St Mirren are playing at times.

"At the moment Livingston look pretty comfortable."

  4. Postpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Hibernian 0-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen's defence is being tested this afternoon, as Hibs continue to come at them from all angles.

But they haven't been able to make their early dominance count, and the Dons threaten at the other end as Graeme Shinnie latches onto a Stevie May ball and only the intervention of a defender blocks his effort.

  5. Saints sinners at cornerspublished at 15:28 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    St Mirren 0-1 Livingston

    John Barnes
    BBC Scotland in Paisley

Set-pieces have been St Mirren’s downfall so far.

Livingston opened the scoring from a Steven Lawless corner-kick as Saints failed to clear, Jack Hamilton taking advantage to net his first league goal in his first league start.

Another Lawless corner then picked out captain Craig Hackett, who sent a header over the top. Livi ‘keeper Liam Kelly has yet to be tested by the Buddies.

  7. CLOSE!published at 15:25 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    St Johnstone 0-0 Dundee

An excellent slaloming run from Kharl Madianga ends with the Dundee attacker curling a shot narrowly over the crossbar. The visitors are looking dangerous.

    Hibernian 0-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen stand off Daryl Horgan and the Hibs man forces Joe Lewis into a brilliant save, punching over his powerful shot.

  9. Hearts full of promisepublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Hearts

    Jonathan Sutherland
BBC Sport Scotland at Rugby Park

Great atmosphere inside Rugby Park (you wouldn’t have expected that a few seasons ago) for this match in the sunshine between two good Premiership sides in fine form.

Hearts have brought a sizeable support and there are plenty of Kilmarnock fans as well. Good times.

As for the fare on the pitch? Plenty of balls into the box from Hearts, they’ve had the better of it so far.

  10. ouch!

Ouch! Saints' Davidson forced offpublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    St Johnstone 0-0 Dundee

Murray Davidson has not had his injury troubles to seek, and he's been helped from the field here after a heavy collision. Blair Alston replaces him.

  11. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Hibernian 0-0 Aberdeen

It already looks like this game is going to be a classic. Play is raging from end to end.

Hibs' Daryl Horgan races down the left-hand side and fires a shot into the side netting. Then a corner isn't cleared and Ryan Porteous' header is saved by Joe Lewis.

A clever lob from Stevie May causes confusion in the Hibs backline and Graeme Shinnie almost finds a way through for the Dons.

  12. CLOSE!published at 15:15 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    St Johnstone 0-0 Dundee

Tony Watt, with five goals to his name already this season, cuts in from the left and tests Jack Hamilton with a curling right-foot effort. The Dundee goalkeeper can't hold it, but the ball falls for one of his defenders to clear.

  13. goal

GOAL - St Mirren 0-1 Livingston (Hamilton)published at 15:14 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Hamilton

Just two minutes after hitting the woodwork, Livingston do so again but this time they make it count.

A stramash in the St Mirren box is exploited by Alan Lithgow's cute cutback. It finds Jack Hamilton eight yards out, and his effort crashes off the underside of the bar, over the line and back out. No doubt about it.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:12 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Hearts

Hearts have the first real chance at Rugby Park.

Peter Haring's glancing header is blocked but debutant Jimmy Dunne gets a bit of welly on to his shot, forcing Jamie MacDonald to make the save.

The ball is loose as players from both sides frantically try to get control and MacDonald gathers.

  15. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    St Mirren 0-0 Livingston

Gary Holt's Livingston tenure very nearly off to the perfect start.

A neat move down the right from the visitors finds the ball cut back to Scott Robinson. His first-time effort looks goalbound only for it to clip the outside of the post and trundle wide.

  16. Penalty shout at HIbspublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Hibernian 0-0 Aberdeen

Big shout for a penalty at Easter Road. Stevie Mallan's long-range shot is pushed by Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis into the path of Martin Boyle, who then falls to the deck under Andrew Considine's challenge.

The referee though is having none of it.

  17. CLOSE!published at 15:11 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    St Johnstone 0-0 Dundee

Dundee have started very well in Perth and carved out the first chance of the game. Steven Caulker, restored to the visitors' defence, heads narrowly wide from a corner.

  18. goal

GOAL - Dundee Utd 1-0 Partick Thistlepublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

  19. goal

GOAL - Ayr 1-0 Dunfermlinepublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Kenny Crawford
BBC Sport Scotland at Somerset Park

We have our first goal of the day in the Championship, and it goes to Ayr's Alan Forrest.

At 5ft 9in he's not the tallest, but Forrest shows great skill to guide a looping header into the net.

The cross came from the left by Michael Moffat and the Honest Men are in control.

  20. Postpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 25 August 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Hearts

A quiet start to proceedings at a sun-kissed Rugby Park.

Hearts have had a couple of set-pieces but nothing to worry the Kilmarnock defence so far.
